Looking the rule book real quick it seems his lawyers may have a point. There is no provision that allows for a suspension for a single missed test. It only allows for fines.
Got a link bro? I would appreciate seeing such verbiage where the NFL rule book says this. It would truly help La'El and force the NFL to stop its personal attacks against the Cowboys team and organization.

Has anybody found evidence yet that this is the typical suspension given for this offense?

By the nature of these things, each case brings its own idiosyncrasies.

But, and let's be clear - without being privy to the evidence presented, and the appeal proceeding, we have no idea whether he missed one test or ten. The NFL typically doesn't divulge details, and the paid representation of the player in a situation like this has no obligation to tell the truth about what led to this situation.

LOL..........personal attacks? :lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Look..........................the worst news is that he didnt test for anything just missed tests. The way I see it, you dont miss multiple tests on purpose unless you know you are going to fail them. At some point, they will make him come in to take the test he missed. Lets hope he is clean because if he fails it that is another suspension.

These morons should have to give the money back. They screw millions of fans, team mates, everyone with this nonsense.

After watching Dak kill it and the Cowboys team looking like a contender, things were looking bleak for the trolls.

They wake up today and Gallup and Collins our out for half the season. Today was like Xmas for them.

oh i am im admitting i know nothing about these layers and leave it to the coaching so yes i am better i dont think i know more then the PRO Coaching staff been doing it their entire lives..yet some keyboard monkey says what they should and shouldnt do..so yes i am better im calling out these foolish people making themselves look ignorant..damn a full nfl professional staff for sure no doubt know 100times more then any common fan..

please dont al bundi me about your hs exploit's and that makes you an experts, IT DOES NOT!!
With all honesty, there have been novice football fans that have made better decisions about this team than the GM, coaches, and other professional football guys. It doesn’t take a professional football guy duplicate some of the draft picks that the team has made. There has been many years that a high school kid with a draft magazine could have duplicated the draft class that Jerry put together. There was a lot of fans that wouldn’t have traded for Roy Williams or Joey Galloway. A lot of fans knew that some of these players would never play up to their contracts that Jerry signed them to. There are some fans on this message board that are very knowledgeable and they have been right about team decisions more than they have been wrong. I think the last 25 years is full of examples of how not to build a winning Cowboys team. Let’s face it, we are fans of a team that is not known for being a shining example of a winning football team.

Yeah, seems odd. Get ready for Captain Scoffer to chastise you for questioning weird coincidences…

A lot of holes here, we have no real idea what’s happening here. Missing a test doesn’t result in a suspension let alone 5 games. Something else needs to break news wise.

Unless its not his 1st time testing positive, in the substance abuse program and then missed a test....but you think word would of gotten out by now..... Fans dont have all the answers yet.......

Let's hope someone can step in and take his starting spot when he comes back, and place his pathetic butt on the bench where it belongs
Collins has become one of the best RTs in the league. He got that big contract and he knocked it in neutral. He has been hanging around for a paycheck the last couple of years, nothing more.

OMG. This is like the craziest crap ever. I am done with some of these guys. This mastique of THE DALLAS COWBOYS O-LINE being the best of the best. We got Collins because of trouble in college and be came in and played well. Give him the contract and now it’s injuries and suspension.

Leave McGovern in Zacks spot and slide Zack over to Collins spot. Bob’s your uncle!

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media has said that it’s his understanding that Collins was suspended for missing drug tests. “Essentially, failure to appear,” Rapoport tweeted.

However, the policy does not permit a suspension for mere “failure to appear.” The language adopted in 2020 allows a suspension only for a fourth or subsequent instance of “failure to cooperate with testing or clinical care.”

An arbitrator has ruled against Collins, but Schaffer has filed another appeal.

How many games has he been suspended in his cancerous career? The suspension is not official yet and his rights have been violated.
Chargers, Eagles, Panthers, and Giants. Is that enough?
His rights have been violated? So, you think the League just flippantly suspended him for 5 games?
