Looking the rule book real quick it seems his lawyers may have a point. There is no provision that allows for a suspension for a single missed test. It only allows for fines.

Not saying this isn't true and doesn't apply to Collins' current behavior. But I think we in general put too much into mistakes college student-athletes make, as if 70% of us didn't act like knuckleheads at age 18-21 and then make great strides in maturity later in your twenties...
