I don't think he is Chaz Green.

Does he suck? Well, yes.

But not five sacks sucks.
Yes... he is worse than Chaz Green. Green was at least 3rd round talent. Steele is UDFA trash picked up off the street. Should probably be driving a truck or hauling stuff at Lowe's or Menard's or Home Depot.

lol idk what would be worse the fact that we are only starting him because he is being paid to be back up tackle and it would be a waste of money not to start him, the fact that they actually believe he is capable of blocking professional players, or them caving into Zack Martin unhappiness to play RT.
Zack said he prefers guard. Only a total POS would say without any support that he refuses to play tackle.

Not that this is earth shattering, but why does JJ announce this stuff on a radio show? It makes no sense,
1. Don’t announce who’s going to start at all. Let your opponent have to prepare for multiple possibilities.
2. If you MUST announce it, let your head coach do it.

SMDH.
Its Jerry. He must have the spotlight; he must look like he is in charge.

All excellent points but here in Dallas our fuhrer makes every decision and the hc functions as a yes man figurehead.

There is a chance that Steele plays ok. There is also a chance this whole thing will be an absolute total disaster.

Didn’t Steel start last year? I don’t recall him ever having a Chaz Green game….
um... he gave up sack fumbles in back to back games... Atlanta and Seattle, both led to a quick 7 points for the enemy.

Steele at RT leaves the Cowboys 10 on 11 on offense

Interesting. I thought our hc made those decisions and made those types of announcements. It seems Jerry is micromanaging again lol …
he interviewed McCarthy and gave him the job because McBurgers agreed to be a "yes man"... Garrett wasn't quite a yes man enough because he said no whenever Jerry offered him the extra large greasy chicken platter with a complementary baker's dozen box of doughnuts.

why do people always assume athletes are only worthy of jobs like this? For starters there is absolutely nothing wrong with those jobs but they are always used to make it out to seem that all athletes are meatheads.

steele had a good college career and the staff likes him and praised him for his work in the offseason and referred to him as a guy who made a big jump.

I imagine they are giving him an opportunity to go out and prove them right there.

This is the response of a stable, adult fan.

I wish more would react this way to news they disagree with.

Kudos.

Well, I can't say that he'll play badly. I can't say that Nsekhe was the better option even though he's played better in actual regular-season games. I can say that Martin was the better option based on what we've seen in the past, but we might end up being just fine and that won't matter.

I do believe in playing the best five, and I believe the best five are Tyron, Williams, Biadasz, McGovern and Martin. However, I'm not paid to make those decisions and I'm not on the practice field and in the building with these players every day, so what I know as a fan is just a fraction of what the coaches should know. Doesn't mean what I believe won't turn out to be better or smarter than their choices, but there's certainly no guarantee of that.

A lot of fans seem to love to react with extremes to pretty much anything this team does. Rarely do the extremes end up being true.

He was a undrafted rookie free agent. Of course he’d struggle. But that’s not what I asked…did he ever look as bad as Chaz Green last year? He may have I just don’t recall him being that bad.

He still never had a Green bad game. Chaz Green gave up 5 sacks in 1 game. Even if he gave up a 4 sack game it wasn't as bad as Green
