Not happy with Moore or MM game management

It is not about offensive ranking, but about he is approaching the individual games and what he is doing to counter opponents strengths.
all good and well, but he screws up in big moments or crucial moments and has now twice mismanaged end of games.....

like I said, Garrett produced several top 5 offenses....and we thought he sucked. you don't produce top offenses without having game plans and an approach to games...specially over a 16 game season...but we know he was master of making the wrong call at the wrong time. Moore seems to be similar....he is very very inexperienced and it shows

that was a bad call by Moore and then bad by dak not to change protection at the line. they attacked with 6, we had 5 blockers...that means a WR should be open. right? except all the WRs were running deeper routes, which takes longer to develop.....nobody was running a crossing route, which had an area wide open across the middle about 6-8 yards deep...

last week I mentioned the same thing, its the route combinations that pressure the defense, not necessarily a single route. last week, in the intercpetion that bounced off of CDs hands, both CD and cooper ran the same route, same area, from same side of the field, which brought 4 defenders into the area....

Agree
Also, Moore is not ready to be a HC unlike what Romo kept saying yesterday

Red was rightly criticized for his lack of ingenuity and his stubbornness in making adjustments. Moore is the anti-Garrett.

Last week we left too much time…no one was happy. This week we leave no time and kick a game winning field go…no one happy

I for one am glad for the win.
each game is different and has to be managed differently. there is no set formula.
last week, we left too much time and should have killed the clock more, but players kept running out of bounds and killing the clock.

this week, we could have ran two more plays in the end. take a shot in the endzone. if not, then a shot to the sideline to stop the clock and get closer. if not you still have a 50+ yard field goal to kick. but to run around confused and chaotic. that's not managing the game at all.

I think execution is a big part. Fans tend to hate a play call if it doesn't work and love it if it does. You cant always call the TD play.
actually I don't. I called plays that worked, bad call and plays that didn't work good call. the question is what's your plan and what did you get out of the play....you may get lucky, like the college gimmiky set up at mid field in the middle of 3rd quarter and it was stupid. but sometimes you call a play from certain formation to see how the defense lines up against it, so that you can use that the next time and run different routes to expose the weaknesses.....McVay is a master at that. Bilicheck is a master at that. Reid is very good at that. Harbaugh is good at that.

I think he’s calling an outstanding game. I don’t understand McCarthy. More . I wouldn’t mind having him for a head coach

I don't know how we could just excuse Moore like he had nothing to do with that time mismanagement at the end of the game. He's the play caller for pete's sake, how does he get a pass on that?
Maybe I'm mistaken, but I think people just want to blame MM for whatever goes wrong and automatically let the play caller off the hook.

I don’t think it was mismanagement. I think commentary made it sound more confusing than it actually was. We were planning on kicking a field goal.Know if we need a touchdown. Then maybe they called a timeout

McCarthy explained the last 30 seconds. Somehow both he and Moore lost their view of the game clock. Sounded more like a freak occurrence than bad coaching.

Say what you will but the coaches have adjusted well to injuries, had the team ready to play, and had good game plans both games so far. They have also been far more creative with their personnel than we've seen this team be in years. There are very few, if any, teams that come out and look perfect week to week this early in the season. Frankly I'm glad the defense is stepping up and helping the offense for once, once the offense gets rolling we could really have something if the defense keeps it up. I think they have more takeaways after 2 weeks than they did through 8 weeks last year.
Leading the NFL in take away ratio!

Moore's game planning has been elite.

..and did you mean wunderkind?? (to my Ted Lasso fans)
Zero points in the 2nd & 3rd quarter with the weapons this franchise has tells myself & many other fans, MOORE IS NOT ELITE! Probably why he's ranked 21st in OC's. Plus he cost us the game in Philly last year with the division on the line by benching our two top WR's on 4th & goal. Using Zeke who couldn't get in.

Call the TD play, Moore!

They are holding their own.

but to me its about making the calls and managing the game when it matters most. last week, he totally botched the call when at the 2 yard line. this game he screwed his own team with a dumb formation in the 3rd....something you might do when other things aren't working or you have a huge lead or down at the goal line, not in the middle of the field. and they mismanaged the end of tampa and chargers game (despite the winning kick).

I see your point I just don't think we can expect Moore to be flawless much like we can't expect dak not to throw int's or Zeke to not fumble it's going to happen. I guess there is a case to be made about in game management with him but especially mccarthy I blame him more than Moore

I’m watching it right now 33 seconds left. Handoff to the running back 28 seconds left. Tony Romo said they should’ve got more yardage. By calling a timeout. Where is the Cowboys were in field-goal range and they weren’t gonna make any mistakes. It was planned. The run was in the middle of the field to the right #

I don't disagree. but so far he has been bad in critical times of the game most of the time. that concerns me

Sounds like they were planning it. What, one more run to hopefully get closer by a few more yards?
