Much of his time here we had really poor talentHe was a .500 HC here.
He made the playoffs with Quincy Carter

Yes, it worked out thankfully, but we could’ve ran another play or two to make it a shorter FG. He made it so in the end it’s a moot point. But, who wouldn’t have rather attempted a 46 yard FG than a 56 yarder. We still would’ve run the clock down either way.You say that the clock management was terrible, but they made the winning kick as time ran out which is exactly what you want.
Well I guess I have to agree with you on that, Dak should've called Time when Moore failed to call it. Nevertheless, I don't believe Moore can get a pass on that mess by dumping it off on McCarthy. That's the play callers job, he should've had that under control. But you're right, when Moore didn't call it, Dak should've been on top of it.Dak was to blame as well. He’s the QB and must know these situations to call TO’s. He got a delay of game earlier when he had a ton of time.
They are going to win the division if Dak can play the entire year. Moore is excellent and Quinn is excellent. The defense is much better. They clearly are the best team in their division. They should be 4 and 1 after the next 3 games.I just think if we continue this way, we will lose more games than win because of it. we lost Tampa game. I am not into moral victories. we should have won that game. it was mismanaged. we couldhave, should have tried to get closer given Zeurline missed a 60 yarder the week before. now trying a 56 yarder. I watch other games. and its now 2 games this year we mismanaged. last year we had similar problems. Moore had problems in 2018 as well. its a recurring issue. He is learning. I get it. but we said the same thing about Garrett....he is learning.
I am not complaining about the game plan (just a little), but how the game is managed. we have mismanaged the games when it matters most.....I couldn’t disagree more. The offensive game planning has been right on target for the first two games. I do, however, think that the clock management on the last drive was terrible. I’ll give you that.
Leaders lead.but with one time out left. its coaches job to be talking to his QB and managing the game. I would have had the team ready to run a hurry up play to stop the clock if nothing else after I decide to run the ball with Pollard between the tackles with less 30 seconds left on the clock
so is it QBs job to manage the clock and the game or is it the coaches job? if its QBs job, then what's coaches job?
no, that was botched by the coaches. total mismanagement of the game
Sounds like a bunch of excuses.he had no talent...he took a team tht had gone 5-11 three straight years and Quincy carter as the QB to the playoffs....he admited himself he over estimated the talent on the team and began ripping it up and rebuilding it after year 2 and in 2 years he did it.
So what, they could have screwed it up and not won. They did win. That is the bottom line. They could have also won in week one if the official makes the correct call. That didn't happen and they lost. The bottom line is that they are 1 and 1 and in good position to have a good season and win the division.Yes, it worked out thankfully, but we could’ve ran another play or two to make it a shorter FG. who is responsible for game management and clock management? coaches or just the QB? did the coach discuss with the QB how he wants things managed? what he expects to do in each situation? etc....Leaders lead.
Is Dak not aware enough to go ahead and recognize the situation and take action?
He should be, as a vet going into his sixth season.

and they were a 6-10 team...who he managed to get to 10-6....parcells said the exact same thing as you said...that's why after year 2 he ripped the team and rebuilt it. so no argument there. but again, to take a no talent team and take them to playoffs. with Quincy Carter no less...I mean come on manSounds like a bunch of excuses.
As the great BP said "You are what your record says you are."
Maybe he knew it wouldn't matter. Or, was following orders from the sideline at that point.Leaders lead.

I do not disagree. Unlike many on here, I’m very happy about the game and where we stand right now. I’ll never complain about a win. I simply think they mismanaged the clock at the end and I don’t think it’s even up for debate. So what, they could have screwed it up and not won. They did win. That is the bottom line. Well, the results speak for themselves. They were the right decisions. What do you guys think of the coaching decisions to play Steele and move Parsons to defensive end?
Sure was an impressive outcome. Steele actually started playing better last year near the end of the season after he and Knight both were pressed into service. Parsons brought the pain! What do you guys think of the coaching decisions to play Steele and move Parsons to defensive end?
They did mismanage a bit, but they knew their kicker was in range and they did use up all of the clock which is something that they needed to do.I do not disagree. A day for criticism and complaints! It's Victory Monday at the Zone!![]()
Team needs greater situational awareness and higher football IQ.I am not impressed nor happy with Moore and how he manages the game. given the weapons we have, almost anyone can create yards, score a few. we are deep at WR, RB and even with Collins out, we still have a good OL and of course a good QB...
but I hate the fact that Moore out smarts himself....they botched the redzone against Tampa last week. they almost botched this game.
in the 3rd quarter, we are driving, their defense can't stop the run or the pass and then Moore gets gimmiky with that college play....that was utterly stupid. next play he panics and Dak ended up getting sacked. he killed the whole momentum with his stupidty.

and at the end of the game, with 20+ seconds left on the clock, he could have run three plays and at least take one shot to the endzone...take another shot to the sideline to move the ball closer. if both failed, it was still a 50+ yard kick..instead he let the clock run out and everyone seemed confused.
it clearly showed they are not prepared for these type of moments..
same last week, in how the end of the game was managed, when players kept running out of bounds and not using the clock or forcing tampa to call timeouts...they played it stupid..
good/great coaches are made in how you make and manage the critical moments in the game. most games will be close and within a score in the 4th. if we continue to mismanage the games like this and depend on luck to win, we are not going to win too many games...
I will be happy when Moore is gone next year. he is not the wonder kid everyone makes him out to be.
Then the team had talent.and they were a 6-10 team...who he managed to get to 10-6....parcells said the exact same thing as you said...that's why after year 2 he ripped the team and rebuilt it. so no argument there. but again, to take a no talent team and take them to playoffs. with Quincy Carter no less...I mean come on man
