People are going to beat up McCarthy for that but I personally don't call timeout there to give the Eagles more time. I'm more confused to why the Eagles didn't go for it on 4th and 5.

I don’t call timeout after 3rd down, but dang sure do after 2bd down. Eagles are 3rd and 24 with 1:37 left. If you’re afraid your defense will guve up a 1st down in that situation you need another profession. That was pure sickening. You can simply kneel down if the Eagles did what they did and you got the ball at the 10. Stupid, no other way to say it. A Rod was right.

The issue wasn't McCarthy not calling TO. The problem was giving up 19 yards on 3rd down. Playing soft there cost them a chance at points.

Yes that is a better argument. You don't play soft there and you can get better field position to try to score before the half.

The way things are going this year this game is far from over. I still expect the Eagles to make a comeback.

The Cowboys are giving a great effort though. If it comes down to that extra point Greg the Leg has to go. In fact, he has to go anyway. Cannot miss extra points in a division game at home.

It’s the NFC East. All games are tough. This one no different.

We should have called a timeout before the third down. We should not have called one on fourth down IMO. The probability based on what the Eagles gained on third down is that we were going to be pinned back fairly deep, which could have resulted in something bad if we tried to go full-on two-minute drive. If we'd held them without much of a gain on fourth down, it would have been worth a timeout.

While I'd like to have had points to end the half, being greedy there could have hurt us ... unless we had made a better stop on third down. Still, we should have called the third-down timeout.

Sounds like a person looking at the big picture instead of the go go go go go all the time. There is a time to get aggressive, and that wasn't it after thinking about it. If people don't think MM is aggressive by nature, you just don't like the guy for whatever reason.

This game is over, unless the Eagles adjust defensively against the run. Expect them to bring a man in the box to do this, meaning more man coverage.

The Eagles need this first drive bad, otherwise call it a night. Their QB is too young and inexperienced to play catch up.

Eagles get the ball at the half. They score a TD and its a 6 point game. Definitely not over. Cowboys are doing everything they can to blow it.

Exactly. We hold them to 19, we call TO.

At 4th & 5 I can see us calling TO and then jumping offsides on the punt.

Good decision to NOT call TO.

Whatever we're doing that is leaving Biadasz on his own against Hargrove, we need to make an adjustment and give him some help. Not sure Williams was supposed to block on that play, but he definitely needed to help Biadasz.
