So what exactly is "everything else"?

Kellen runs the offense, Quinn runs the defense. The only thing McCarthy is responsible for on gameday is game management.
And he's horrible at it.

He's basically handing the job to Moore on a silver platter.

Well its very common in the NBA.....now we have to wonder if it will spread to the NFL.

My bet is on it happening alot more in the NFL....like it or not.

They do play 5x as many games and rarely have a week of rest unless it's the All-Star break.

For a team that has been ravaged by major injuries over the past 5+ years, I've got no problem with it. They had a 2 TD cushion with 6 minutes left and an offense doing whatever it wanted in the 2nd half. If they choked that away, even without Diggs on the field, they've got bigger problems.

Hmmm...The Cowboys may indeed want to "look after" Mr. Diggs. There is a deep playoff run riding on his remaining healthy and in the line-up. Yes...it's that serious. The Cowboys have now what they haven't had since the 90s superbowl run...a shutdown corner and the ability to roll coverage to the other side when required. With the return of Lawrence and "friends" to the lineup this can only get better but they definitely need Diggs if they are going to be a playoff team...AND more importantly, a playoff team that can do some damage. 5 INTs in just four games is something the Cowboys haven't seen in some time. Defensive coordinators (and opposing QBs) are going to be forced to account for him going forward.

I've wanted to wait a bit to get "interested" in the team this year. The more I see, the more I like but they will have to remember to impose will via the running game. If teams want to neglect the box then run their butts out of it. If they want to crouch the LOS and play short, then go deep six. The Cowboys have a bevy of weapons that can do both things. Today it took damn near 250 yards of running to impose will...but in the end...will was imposed.

But I will say again...Trevon Diggs is now the MVP of the defense at this point. Every interception gives you an extra possession...and coupled with an elite offense, that can help you put teams in the rear-view mirror more quickly. They need him healthy and present.

I see no reason to think he’s lying. The league is an injury nightmare year in and year out and now you have another game on the schedule. This happens in basketball all the time. Granted, it’s more dangerous to do it in football, especially the NFL but it’s not without merit.

If managing back tighness than that's fine with a big lead. It just made no sense cause parsons and the rest of the d were still in there. Made no sense just to hold him out, and I don't think they did. It was precautionary. I'm good with that.

Again the rest of the guys were still in there. I'd argue parsons is more important than anyone and he was still playing. so its a non issue

Do you know the role of a head coach? His job is to coach the coaches and be the guy who also helps put together the plan with them. You don't think Kellen Moore got better as a play caller learning from Mike McCarthy? When you are the head coach you are like the manager or CEO. The head coaches job isn't just managing the game. They have to literally manage the whole team. Create the practice schedules, team meetings, etc. Post like these make me realize people on this board are ignorant to what duties a head coach has. If you don't think Mike has changed the culture here you aren't paying attention.

Sounds like Trevon Diggs took a cleat to the back before halftime…and before the 2 INTs he grabbed. He’ll be reevaluated tomorrow.

WE win "QB sucks couldn't throw for 10k yards"...WE win "Defense sucks man gave up 10k yards" WE win "Coaches suck because we didnt win by enough" Jesus people talk about needing to cry about something.....Diggs came out because it was a 3 score lead and had "A back twing" but hey lets hang the coach high and go find one that loses if the RT goes down for 2 games....its incredible how short some memories are but how long the scares seem to last.

Is the softest, weakest, and most loser thing I have ever heard of in all my years of watching football.

We are winning despite the bone head decisions of McCarthy.

4 weeks in a row and McCarthy is yet to coach a clean game without dumb decisions. What a weak man.

I disagree when it comes to RB especially given this situation. Why have Zeke get 30 touches?18-25 is perfect when you have a Pollard. It will
Make both better for longer.

Yes, but it isn't as physical of a game as football.

Not on a play-by-play basis but it's plenty physical. Doesn't even begin to address the fact that players are on the court regardless of possession. On average, only 1/2 of the game will an offensive or defensive player be on the field.

Yeah but they aren’t literally trying to kill each other.

How is it a lie when it was reported during the game lol.
No it wasn’t. They said “load management” during the game. I was listening to the Fox national broadcast and not once was that mentioned. Pam Oliver even asked our coaches and that was the answer.

I didn’t see anyone even remotely close to attending to his back. Wouldn't they have at least evaluated him?

They showed Darnold going under the tent for a split second, I’m sure they would’ve shown Diggs being evaluated, unless I missed it.
