Once Collins is back does he get his job back. I love how Steele is playing and I'm sure others feel the same. Yes Collins is making big money, I'd stay with the hot hand, your thoughts???
Hey @Coogiguy03 did you enjoy the game at the Stadium yesterday? Was thinking about you while I was watching the game!! I hope you were making it loud in there!! :p

My God what is Randy G then?. Collins went 180 straight without a positive then had a positive for codeine after his surgery. So yea glad your in a spot to judge him after this

Yeah, yeah, that’s the ticket. Everything this guy’s agent says is true and his client is innocent and being railroaded.

Yet, not one player, teammate, friend, coach, front office person, or players union person has said one word in his favor. The silence speaks volumes.

I think Collins will return to his starting position after serving his suspension. That is what the league has determined will right the wrong and clean the slate. Anyone that disagrees is an uptight poopy head. :D

Intolerance to accept a teammate that has served his time is unacceptable. Collins should be received back with welcome arms and resume his role as the all-pro OT that he is. The Cowboys take care of their own.

The front office needs to support the league's decision and once that suspension is served, forgive and forget. This is the right move.

The good news is we now know we have a swing tackle this season that we can count on in Terrence Steele.

P.S... Suck it, Ninja. :p

What is wrong with emotion? Players play with emotion.

Yes, benching, trading, cutting Collins will send a loud and clear message to the team.

It will send zero message. In fact, it might cause some ill will to see the team ship out one of their best OL. Further, cutting him is stupid as it does zero to help our cap.

You are overvaluing the effect it would have to dump him. Are you going to cut or trade every player who gets suspended then?

Well for starters, players rarely comment on another player's suspension. Secondly, the union won't saying anything either publicly if they aren't leading the charge, and they aren't here. They took a backseat to the agent/lawyers.

You are grasping at straws now.

No, I am going to have two sets of rules. One for the really good players and another for all the other players. That would be much better and fairer to everyone, right?

Anyone who thinks Collins is gifted the starting position after his 5 game suspension for drugs and bribes should never complain about ‘culture’ in the Cowboys.

Inserting Collins back into the starting lineup after what he did to the team is despicable. Collins is a selfish player who betrayed the team and betrayed his friends and betrayed the fans.

The front office needs to make an example and do what is right. Everyone knows the right move.

Holding grudges and reacting out of spite is not the way to run things. Football players are flawed people, like all of us, and that is exacerbated because they are highly paid prima donnas that get a lot of attention and praise at a very young age. All of that has to be navigated, and ultimately the coaches and management has to decide if they believe Collins will get his crap together and make a decision from that.

Collins is a pro-bowl caliber tackle. Steele has developed into a serviceable swing tackle. He’s very good at run blocking but struggles in pass protection.

There remains a wide gap between the two players

You win with players like Steele who give everything they have in practice, meetings, and games. You don’t win with loser lying druggies. Steele won the right to play and start at RT. Collins should be traded ASAP.
LT? Irvin? Farve?
SB winners.

Well if he can't be traded then can he at least be moved to center? Collins is a better interior lineman than Biadasz... Steele is better at RT than Biadasz at C

Williams, Biadasz, Steele are the type of players you want and want to reward. Players who give it their all both in practice and in games, both on and off the field. Bumping one of these players to make room for the entitled druggie is wrong for the culture of winning.

It is not about finding a player to bump for Collins.

imagine how easy getting a 1st down with zeke would be in short yardage with La'el at Center and Zack at RG though. Instant automatic 2 yard gain up the middle no matter what the defense did. Biadasz will never be nearly as strong as La'el.

Well, according to his agent he is a choir boy who got railroaded by a corrupt system. Agents never lie, right?
I don't know about that I just haven't heard anyone reference him as a "druggie"....and we've seen our share of druggies around here and that ain't one lol.

I take it you said the same about Michael Irvin and Leon lett back in the day too

No, I didn’t. Doesn’t mean I was not wrong. I was a lot younger and not nearly as wise.

Is one supposed to make the same wrong decision for consistency sake?
