They prepare for the Giants on tomorrow. I hope this move is not a distraction. Why didn't they wait until the bye, it is not far off? He should have never been signed, but "spoiled milk."

Messing with the flow in the midst of a winning streak can backfire. Hopefully, the defense can come in fired up and his replacement knows his assignment.
In reality, any NFL caliber linebacker can do what he does. He hasn’t brought anything to the table

If I had my bet Quinn talked to Jerry. He has a lot of clout with them. Highly respected. As I said all offseason he had to turn on the tape when he first got here and said oh hell no! Hence taking LB’s in the draft
I’m sure they all talked
Quinn says I have better options
Stephen says he has a 9 mil injury guarantee
Mike says what ya gonna do mr Jones
Jerry says, see ya jaylon

Good luck to Jaylon, this move was surprising, but I don’t get emotionally attached to players like some posters in the thread. But every time I saw him line up on a back it gave me chills. So I understand the move.

My guess is that he would not lower his salary or give up the 2022 injury guarantee. Although, not sure if the Cowboys were even interested at a lower salary. He just wasn't playing well. I noticed it in preseason games. I wondered why they had him out there in the 2nd quarter against backups. I guess they were trying to show what he could do to trade him.

Maybe he signs for vet min with the Chiefs or Bears?

No LB on the PS. I guess the Cowboys will be poaching someone from a team's PS.
Frances Bernard I think is on IR. Maybe.

I said that if Dan Quinn gives up on him, it will be the beginning of the end.

He may get another job this season. Hopefully, he is able to start and get another contract somewhere else.

I didn't see this coming and was wrong that he would be on the roster next season but he didn't even make it through the year.

I believe he is an average LB that could be upgraded so unless they are signing a guy or making a trade.........Jabril Cox is getting ready to take over.

Again, i was wrong about him staying on the roster. Huge surprise and Dallas sent a message today with this cut.....if true

I have a hard time believing they will take Parsons off the line ........ they tried that in the first half last week and the Panthers were killing us ....... 3rd quarter they had him rushing the passer and we dominated them.

Don’t disagree. Parsons will most likely continue to rush the passer. One things apparent in the first 4 games is the defense is showing a lot more hybrid tendencies than ever before under Quinn. You put Parsons at LB, the offense has no clue if he’s going to be an elite 5th pass rush option or drop back on passing plays where he’s effective as well.

The defense is coming together and feel they’re leaning and going all in on the youth and them learning as they go.
