Yeah, it's all totally predictable. I am not sure how much some of these people can be educated. Fight the good fight I guess....I am just happy that we are FINALLY seeing something we haven't seen in a loooong time.

This really made my day!!!!

Thank the heavens we finally have real coaching again. Its been SOOOOO Long!!!

And yet ANOTHER indication that Jerry isnt fully in charge here because you know Jaylon would still be on the team.

WOW! I'm really surprised at the timing. Will that save the team some salary cap space?
Has to be some kind of reason for the odd timing........?

Jaylon is a bench player with no real on-field future here. Cowboys strapped for money. No way they wanted to get in a situation where they were paying Jaylon $9 million (more) this next offseason.

Why is that so hard to see?
It wasn’t about 2022 cap but about 2022 injury guarantee and the fact we had better options
9 mil is a huge risk

We should have seen what Jabril Cox can do and if Cox balled out, THEN you can cut Jaylon.. Just to cut him and not have any real idea of what the guys can do behind him isn't the best decision. Also, you just shook up the locker room after a big victory. I'm guessing they want to be fair to Jaylon and let him latch on with another team?

I’m sure they are.

He’s a good guy by all accounts, but this is a football decision.

You don’t part ways with good football players. Jaylon is not a good football player, or more accurately, not good enough to risk being on the hook for another $7.2M.

If you don’t think Jerry made the final decision and it was all about the 9 mil then you need that old head checked

Oh, I HOPE he hooks up with an NFCE team, then we can exploit him.

Seriously? They had ‘no idea’ how a guy they were committing $7 million to ‘would respond and play’? Even MORE reason not to do it then.
Yes seriously. We hadn’t drafted Parsons or Cox yet. If you knew Parsons was going to play the way he is. If you know that Jaylon wasn’t going to play the way he is, then you hold onto him to protect yourself.

come on Stash I always thought you was a smart football guy.

Because its 4 games into this season and they could have kept him and cut him after the season to the same effect. He was abruptly fired from the team in a rare in-season move. There is obviously more of a story here.
