And it makes no sense from his POV to relieve that Injury Guarantee - at all.

Why does Jaylon have so many injury clauses where his money is guaranteed after suffering a major injury? I feel like it should be the other way around where if he suffers a major injury or misses X amount of games his money is not guaranteed and can be cut.

Its all subjective but based on what i've read he wasn't bad in the locker room...it wasn't a cut about his play. IT was all strictly about money. Which is fine. Also just read he was asked to take the injury clause out of his deal and he refused.

It was all about his play in reference to his pay. He is being paid a lot of money and is not producing.

His play is not worth the $9M liability for injury.

I disagree. If this was the last year of Jaylon's deal he would've still got the same number of snaps. IF not then it was incompetence by the team because he should not be playing more snaps than guys who are better than him. And we all know he wasn't the worst linebacker on the field with LVE out there.

LVE and Gifford are better than Jaylon at this point. Cox is also probably better now. Moving forward Gifford and Cox are better options. Sometimes teams go with experience and safety over youth and talent.

The reward of experience over the risk of youth and talent and speed just did not favor Jaylon anymore.

Because they only told Jaylon he was going to be released last night. It doesn't happen until business hours.
