Can he turn things around for himself? He's been on a downward spiral since his rookie season. He's only 24 years old and I guess is finally healthy. What has been his problem besides injuries? To me he seems a little timid out there and it's taking him too long to react. He was shooting gaps a lot quicker as a rookie and looked much faster side line to side line. Has he lost his speed and quickness? Is there any hope for this guy still?

He looks slow to me, I feel he needs to play closer to the line and not be involved in pass coverage..he can still be very good, not sure if this system fits his skill set.

He is not the same guy after his neck injury . Unfortunately this is one of the realities of NFL and one hit cam change your life and your earning power forever. Thats why its always bad when players get cut prematurely , but its a business just like our jobs ( at least they get initial loads of money which if they are smart can provide a livelihood)

You talk like he hasn't played this season. He's been playing well, IMO.

For a guy his size, he’s a finesse player. And it looks like he thinking too much. He also looks like he doesn’t move as well. I dont think it’s going to get better. At this point there isn’t anything he does all that well. I would settle for a kick *** run stopper. He’s just not that guy.

I think it is the scheme, the assignments, this is his 3rd Defensive coordinator in 3 years. God knows how Nolan and his boys screwed some of these kids up. Remember he was drafted as Run and hit LB, then Nolan came and fielded that abortion of a defense last year that even Sean Lee appeared lost at times, and now DQ has a different scheme that requires each LB to be familiar with all 3 LB spots due to sub packages and formation changes.

I kind of like LVE although he's a Garrett guy, but I'm intrigued by Luke Gifford.

LVE leads all LB's in both combined and solo tackles. He is the 3rd leading tackler on the team. He is tied with Osa and Randy for 3rd place in tackles for losses, just one behind Parsons. He had the first sack of the season.

LVE is off to a great start this season. The only slow thing about LVE is some Cowboy fans acknowledgement that he is an asset to this team.

Cowboy fans don't have to worry about his contract next season. However, I suspect that Cowboys management are now very worried about it.

Yep, kinda hard to play with reckless abandon and dominate when you are worried about your neck. Kinda feel for him.
