From the perspective of me, a great guy and sturgeon of the game, LVE discovered that the NFL was FAST and getting faster. Give him speed and quickness and he is a pro bowler.

Yet ... I dunno, mate, but it would be grand, just grand if Green Bay snapped him up for a 4th round pick.
th
A 4th round pick for LVE? Sheesh! Cowboys need to receive at least a 3rd. Let's not be giving away good players for free.

There is a new LB in town, and his name is Micah.

I have not watched a lot of LVE and his play this Eason to say. His name has not been called a lot at to plays made. Nor has he seemed to be missing assignments though either. At least nothing major standing out as to plays missed. such as Jaylon had been.

I think he fills his role in this defense well enough. But will be allowed to walk as a FA if things don't pick up for him.
I am not down on him by any means, because does any of us really knows what is being ask of him on the field.

They really do not have much at LB behind Parsons, LVE, Neal, unless cox emerges quickly. Bernard and Gifford aren't going to be that guy. I still think they should have Kamara at LB.
Make that switch, his size is more suited for that.
They don't even have any LB's on the PS.
Pretty thin, as they have been all through the off-season and TC as well. Just seems weird.

I kind of like LVE although he's a Garrett guy, but I'm intrigued by Luke Gifford.
I look more at LVE's body of work than reflect on him for being a Garrett guy. Garrett doesn't live in Cowboys land anymore. He left 2 seasons ago. The injuries may have taken a mental toll along with back to back
defensive scheme adjustments.

The new linebacker should be pass rushing 99% of the time. I don't want to see this guy in a normal LBer role.

The organization saw Neal and LVE development this year as a good reason
to release Jaylon now, according to Jane Slater.

You can apologize on Sunday.
It was all about the $. Jaylon had it in his contract that if he was injured this year his salary would be fully guaranteed for next year. Thats why they cut him.

Learn how to spell. It's you're, not "your". LOL

Are you really stupid enough to jump into an argument over a matter of opinion? Are you drinking or on drugs?
You ARE A HOMER and to think that you win an argument because of spell check is comical. You are an embarrassment to this board.

He looks slow to me, I feel he needs to play closer to the line and not be involved in pass coverage..he can still be very good, not sure if this system fits his skill set.
are the new players around him just amking him look slow? I really dont know

Being able to spell is not about winning an argument, it just shows who's brain functions better. Better brain, better thinking. Your thought process sucks. ;)

Can he turn things around for himself? He's been on a downward spiral since his rookie season. He's only 24 years old and I guess is finally healthy. What has been his problem besides injuries? To me he seems a little timid out there and it's taking him too long to react. He was shooting gaps a lot quicker as a rookie and looked much faster side line to side line. Has he lost his speed and quickness? Is there any hope for this guy still?

In my opinion, he still isn't healthy and probably will never be. His best asset coming into the league and as a rookie was his coverage abilities. He is long, athletic and possesses plus ball skills. I think this is where the team envisions him, being able to play within the nickel defense, but what I have seen thus far, he has been the opposite, better against the run then the pass.

Well if Jaylon was truly a liability then LVE should be able to play faster now and not watch another players assignment.

Nope. The neck injury was a game changer. He's not the aggressive player he was as a rookie. He's a version of Jaylen playing to not get injured. But now that he has taken up the cause of players being called out on social media, maybe he's found something he can sink his teeth into. AWHOOOOOOO!
