No need for him unless you plan cut cooper off-season. I rather have cooper he plays hurt and is a proven #1 - I honestly don’t think gallop is a 1 and maybe not even a #2. If I can get a 2nd or a stud cb/dl player I gotta trade gallop now. Don’t keep him without plan - Wilson can be our #3.

Why do you want to mess up something that is good and could get better!?. Who would you trade him for ...and don't say a draft pick. We seem all in this year...

Did cutting Jaylon make financial room for Gallup? Maybe. Or financial room for Schultz? Perhaps.

But next year the cap goes up fairly substantially, and the reworkings of contracts could allow you to keep the band together for a back to back championship.

I have never figured out why it is once the team finds a good player, fans are chomping at the bit to trade them for magic beans.

We likely will get a 3rd round comp if he goes on the market, so trade him for a 2nd or a really good Defensive player. That will open up the books to sign some of these stud players.

Would love to. But Gallup would have to sign a 2 year or 1 year deal. Cedrick needs a contract. Gregory needs a contract. I could go on with players that are playing at a high level for us that need a contract.
We have 45 players under contract for next year with several starters and big contributors up for contracts
We are also already over the cap for next year and while it may go up more than projected we aren’t just a couple million over
If we think this team has a real shot then you don’t trade Gallup, you keep him and go for it
But next year Gallup, LVE, CW are likely all gone and many others are FA
It’s gonna be complicated

A good rule of thumb around here is to:

1- never expect a member with Rowdy as an avatar to be even remotely
football smart.

2- never put much stock in comments from members that joined after 2017.

Sure, there are exceptions, but this works 99.7% of the time.

I also don’t think Gallup is a #1 Wr, but he’s an excellent #2.. so having 2 Wr that are #1’s (Cooper & Lamb) and Gallup and Wilson to compliment them is a luxury.

However, this team seemingly has something special brewing this year.. so why mess up a good thing? It’s not like he’s a detriment, like Jaylon was on defense. Dal has built prob the best offense in the league.. injuries happen(Cooper is currently gutting it out with rib and hamstring injuries).. leave the offense alone.

The only reason to trade Gallup is to capitalize on his trade value. But if the off-season proved anything.. Wr’s don’t have great value like yesteryear. I’d rather keep this offense scary explosive and cash in the 3rd or 4th compensatory pick will inevitable receive if he walks.

side note: my only caveat would be trading to add a top tier DT or DE in return, but I can’t see any team willing to do that.

That's a rather insulting thing to say...mostly because I don't remember exactly when I joined.
