I just want to say Jaylon smith would not have made that play. Odds are we still crush them, but who knows. A TD there gives them momentum. It's a shame Jones got hurt, but again Jaylon would've never made it there.

Cox already showing his value
Not real sure why Cox hasn’t been playing more to begin with. Staff needs to admit they screwed up by not having him in there all along.

Yeah, looks like they erred on the side of caution. I guess they thought Jaylon's experience and lack of speed would be a safer combination than Cox's speed and lack of experience. As time went on, I think Cox picked up his assignments and was ready to play.

I watched Jaylon against Philly yesterday and Jaylon was slow and his experience was not enough to overcome his deficiencies at this point.

They needed Smith to play and show that he was able to play so that when he was released he couldn't say he was released because of injury and get next year's salary garunteed.... Does that make sense? Feel like that sentence is missing a comma or two

even the announcers were calling it helmet to helmet/ he went out with a concussion
if he's not fined thats great
Since he's on a 4th round rookie contract and on his first year.
He's definitely not a rich man at this point... if the NFL fines him unfairly for that hit (which Daniel Jones initiated), Jerry Jones needs to 100% "pick up the tab".
If not, we all need to get out there and throw eggs and toilet paper rolls at Jerruh and his family until they pick up the tab.
Employees over big corp 1000%.

Jones lowered his head into Cox’ helmet. Plain as day. The announcers don’t always see things correctly.
I've been saying it for weeks. Cox should have been playing since Week 1. He's definitely better than Jaylon was, and Cox can not only cover well in coverage, he's got the size, strength and speed to either run you down trying to run around the edge on him or trying to run at him.

I said it before, what in Hades was Dan Quinn waiting for all of these weeks, especially after recently finding out that the Cowboys had been trying since this past offseason started to find a trading partner for Jaylon Smith. If you knew you didn't want Jaylon Smith anymore before the season started, why did you continue to start him while keeping Jabril Cox either inactive or standing on the sidelines all of these weeks???

Talk about a royal screw up. I wonder who was responsible for this delay?

Jerruh and his sunk-cost theory.

But now he has a new reclamation project to salvage..... Hooker.

Smith is past history.

Jaylon Smith should have been benched after Week 1's game. Just straight out say, "Yes, you're healthy and all. Thank goodness. But you're not as good as rookie Jabril Cox, so he's going to start now while we try to find a team to trade you to."

You may be right, but I have to believe the coaching staff must have saw a flaw or something that could compromise the effectiveness of the defense. Having rookies perform at the level the Cowboy rookies are playing at is not the norm. Being patient sucks.

That was a clean hit. If anything it was spearing on Daniel Jones leading with his helmet and not Cox.

The announcers including Aikman needs to shut up for once and stop making it as if Cox was playing dirty. It was a clean hit and a good tackle. If you want to blame someone blame Garrett for running him outside the pocket.
