We're wasting Micah's potential by not having him rush the QB more.

We got zero sacks and not much pressure at all yesterday. It looked like the Tampa Bay game, which was also the other game where Micah seemed to never rush the passer.
No. He rushed the QB he just didn't get home. Ill trust the judgment of Quinn who has turned this defense around. Nobodies wasting anyone's potential.

When Jones was still playing I think Micah's job was mostly as a spy since Jones is known for his running ability as well.
After Jones was out he did rush more but didn't get home. Gregory got close several times and forced a lot of early throws.

The "cut Jaylon" crowd should've considered that. Micah's role as a LB has expanded. DLaw's return should help the line but Parsons is not going to play DE.

I am shocked the Cowboys did not get more sacks yesterday against the Giants banged up OL. But there was a lot of holding that was not called, especially against Gregory who was held quite a bit. But the Giants started making a lot of quick throws so the pass rush didn't have time to get there. Early on they were getting after Danny Dimes.

My question is this, if the other team starts to throw quick passes to avoid the rush, they why not hold the receivers up at the LOS to disrupt the time of plays? I would love to see stats on receiver separation vs the Cowboys. I see a lot of receivers 2 or 3 yards open.

Would love to see Cox's counts go up but since we are in nickel a lot, there might not be snaps there for him. LVE has played adequately enough to not have him pulled for Cox.
I think Cox is absolutely a nickel linebacker. The question is can he play early run downs.

Cowboys absolutely got pressure. I like Micah used a number of ways. I do NOT like to see Micah Parsons split out into coverage against a RB like Saquon early in the game.

i believe there was a post showing that we got more pressure in this game than we had in any of the previous four. We just didn't get any sacks. Something like on 45 percent of the snaps. Not sure how whoever posted that measured pressure, so I can't attest to its accuracy. But just because we didn't get sacks doesn't mean we didn't get pressure.

That's why I'd like to see him play more but Neal and Parsons are both pretty good in the nickel as well, so I can see how Cox can't get any real PT. But I really think he has a future here.

He'll get opportunities. At some point the LB corps will get knicked up/injured. When that happens he will be next man up.

Cox only had 4 snaps. Was weird he ran someone down the sidelines for a tackle at the line. Was a good play.

I think the plan was not altered once Barkley went down and they continued to keep Parsons at LB instead of on the DL. I am not a DC, but I would have switched him up once that happened and had him chasing down Jones.

I could be wrong but that entire game plan yesterday looked like they listened to Aikman's assessment of the Giants' chances against them.

The play just before he got injured, Parsons was split out wide against Barkley who was wide open (but an errant throw).

No harm, no foul, but I consider it a dangerous gameplan to allow Parsons to play pass coverage against Barkley. That should have been Neal or Cox' assignment all game. Parsons is a Freak Athlete but isolating him in pass coverage was 100% a gameplan by Garret before he got injured.

That was his MO at LSU, he wasn't considered good enough to replace the other LB's but whenever he was in the game, he made plays.
I think he will work nicely. I think we have another LB also thats not on the field now. Bernard or Francis can’t remember his name. But is coming on good.

The "cut jaylon crowd" is literally the front office, and I'm sure they did consider it, and cut his butt anyways.
