There is a thread where people are asking what Belichick will take away. It should be obvious, the blue print is already out there. The Bucs took away the run, put the ball in Dak's hands.

We already know what the outcome was to that game.

The Buccs didnt go out of their way to take our running game away. They weren’t stacking the box. That’s what you see when you have a mammmoth like Vita Vea on the line. Mind you, Dak lost with Zeurelin leaving points on the field.

We’re not getting less Prescott, we’re getting a very efficient Prescott. He’s moving the ball and scoring TDs just as quickly as the best QBs in the NFL on few attempts.

Lol dont need to throw the ball a lot when you are completing over 70% of your passes and throwing 9 yards per attempt.

There is the QB position and then there is the passer.

Time was the passer with the stats was the loser of the game because his counterpart was allowed to play QB.

Why do you think there was that ongoing battle between Landry and Staubach over play calling? Because Landry knew Staubach would rely heavier on the pass than the run.

Staubach's and Aikman's teams were always over 55% to the run side and up to 60% for a reason. Johnson went to Miami and took on a stronger with the owner QB and was limited in what he could do.

No one player successfully carries a team. If it needs that, it is no longer a team.

I said several times before the season that Dak and the team is a lot better when Zeke is rolling.

With that said.. Dak is phenomenal this year. Some of the reads and throws he is making are just special.

We’re better when Dak isn’t having to carry the team and everyone is holding up their end. We’re better when he’s not having to dig us out of holes. When he has 40+ passing attempts that usually means we’re struggling to run the football and or our defense can’t keep our opponent out of the endzone. Dak had one of the best games of his career in the opener despite tying a career high with 58 attempts. We lost because we couldn’t keep Tampa out of the endzone and couldn’t keep them from driving into field-goal range to beat us in the closing seconds. Any QB that’s having to carry their football team is going to lose some games.

The Cowboys are a better team when they have a balanced attack and Dak isn’t having to shoulder the load. It’s not his fault when the defense is giving up chunk plays and they can’t keep the opponent out of the endzone. It’s not his fault when we can’t run the ball. If you put it all on your QB to have to win games you’re going to lose more games than you win. There’s only so much a QB can overcome to pull out a game. Dak was playing great last year through the first 5 games but we were losing because our defense sucked and we couldn’t run the football. We won three championships in the 90s because our QB wasn’t having to shoulder the load. Same thing in the 70s we won with a solid defense and a balanced attack.
