What surgery did Tyron Smith have in 2020?

Answer: He underwent neck surgery last season, costing him 14 games. “Honestly feeling great, finally got the neck fixed, and I think that kind of connected to everything with the back,” Smith said Thursday, via David Helman of the team website. “I'm glad I finally got it fixed after all these years.”Jun 3, 2021

Today, Tyron is getting an MRI on his neck. Looks like it might be related to the previous injury/neck surgery. Not good.
This is what I am thinking. Sucks. He was playing great.

You ever seen him play? Are the other 21 players just going to give up?
preseason. he is from a small college. didn't play all that great in preseason. he is 4th round pick, who many said was a reach...so no, he doesn't give me the warm and fuzzy protecting Dak coming off injury..I don't subscribe to Madden NFL

but since you like him, he must be great. you are the OL guru after all....:muttley:

Why wouldn't it fail? The team keeps thinking he's going to have the same availability that he had in his first 5 years instead of the last 5 years.

This was my foundation I stood on in the offseason in supporting offensive tackle depth in the high draft rounds.

I don’t believe Ball played in any preseason games. But If he did play, it was very little. He has had a sprained ankle for at least 8 weeks.

Ball was not a reach in the 4th round. He was a supposed 2nd round talent who fell to an off field issue.

He went to Marshall.

My initial impression of him was that he needed to get stronger like most rookie OL. It looked to me like he wasn’t carrying enough weight and strength in the lower region yet. But he looked like he had good mobility for his size.

....and for those that said the OL was fine heading into last year's off-season, here we go.
