Have to admit about Dak

He’s made the playoffs before and has a playoff win. His regular season performances have been so good and he’s been very good in the playoffs. He’s never had a bad playoff game despite the fact he’s 1-2. He’s hands-down better than Romo. Romo was never this clutch. He could never overcome his mistakes. We’ll just agree to disagree.

Just not enough data. Regular season champs don't mean squat. Dak had a #1 seed to work with and fell flat that year. Love the guy but "better than Romo" is premature at this point.

Romo still was better
Actually No.... Romo had the sizzle was often pretty clutch. Love the guy but he often shrunk, gaffed and errored when the lights shined brightest. Dak was always more steady, better intangibles and the better leader. Over the last couple of years, Dak has caught up from a pure passing and QB IQ standpoint. Advantage Dak

Romo is not more accurate than Dak. Dak is the most accurate qb in Cowboys history, IMO.

Aikman would beg to differ. Today's game is a great example of Dak not quite being there yet. So many times guys have to reach or slow down to make the catch. He rarely hits them in stride for that extra YAC.

Romo had some stinkers in the playoffs. Go count up the turnovers he had. He had a couple of really good playoff games and played pretty well against the Packers in a loss. Dak is a lot better QB. The Cowboys can definitely win a championship with him. I have complete faith in him I just don’t trust our defense.

Could Romo trust his defenses?

Dak was tremendous when he had to be today. Belichick got him a few times and made him make what I call "uncertain throws." Those happen when you're not 100% sure of where you need to go with the ball. But nothing can change the fact that he and Moore outdueled the master today.. IMHO this is a major step in both their development.

No, but he put his defenses in a lot of bad positions with turnovers. Put Romo in the position that Dak was in today on the road in NE and he would’ve had an untimely turnover. Romo had meltdowns Dak doesn’t. The kind of production he’s putting up we’ve never seen by a Cowboys QB. He’s going to end up setting an the NFL record for 400 yard games. Despite the turnovers he had today he maintained his poise and came through. We have the best offense in the league mainly because of how great he is. You’ve got my opinion I’m done!

Dak led his offense to 30+ points while putting up 400 yards and 3 TDs against Belichick.. I suspect if you look it up you will find that Troy never got within the same area code of that level of performance against a Belichick defense.

Regular season is one thing.

Didn't think this mattered anyway. The only way Romo was involved was calling the game today. Don't know why people feel the need to crap on Romo with Dak playing well.

Makes you wonder how he is able to throw for over 400 so many times.

Aikman was great but he was the ultimate bus driver. His 20-25 passes a game were accurate but if anything broke down in the pocket...good luck.

He became the HC of the Patriots in 2000. Prior to that he was the HC for Cleveland and DC for the Jets. Now he was the DC for NYG in 1990 so maybe Aikmans second year for a game or two?
So yeah lets make a comparison to someone Aikman never really played against.

Not to mention the the game that is played in this decade is nothing like the game played in the 90s.

Different era, different game. QBs could be mauled. Offenses did not have all the rule advantages they have now.

Not to mention he had only the greatest RB of all time to hand off too 20+ times a game.
