I understand everyone's excited about the offense and the hot shot coordinator but I just can't get on board with the way too popular idea of making Kellen Moore the head coach next year.

I think that's a terrible idea. This team is a legit contender. There's no reason why they won't be a contender next year. The last thing they need is a rookie head coach in training leading them when they can win titles.

Moore may turn out to be a great head coach some day. I have no idea. Neither does anyone else including the team that eventually gives him that position but he's not the right guy for this team right now.

He may not excite you but you know what you have in McCarthy. An experienced head coach who knows how to lead a team deep into the playoffs. This is the right fit for a team ready to win now.

That would mean we probably lose Moore in the offseason and that's fine. Find another. He didn't reinvent the wheel here.

You posted a thread last week about "the more Dak=less winning" I really wish it wasnt taken down because you look absolutely silly right now. Moore also will be gone next year.

I bet jerry comes up with a strategy to keep both. A big payday and assistant head coach title may be enough.

may just depend on what gig is open. Would he leave a good thing in Dallas to rebuild the Giants for example?

I think McCarthy is making it too easy for Jerry to hand the keys to his own grown guy Kellen Moore. It seems like ever week the decision becomes easier for Jerry.

Bottom line is Jerry loves his home grown guys. That's why Garrett was able to be a bad head coach for a decade. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Jerry fire McCarthy if we do anything less than a Super Bowl win. Especially with McCarthy getting killed by fans and media every week for his bonehead decisions and clock management issues.

I'm not a McCarthy fan at all. I wouldn't mind seeing Moore take his job, because I don't believe in Mike. I believe the players are winning despite him and he is easily the weak link in the Moore-Quinn-McCarthy chain.

Agree if we lose Moore so be it. There is no doubt he’s bright and good at his job. But experience matters for a team that’s contending.

Also not sure I want another Garrett situation where Jerry pays the OC like a HC to keep him around as a succession plan. Could divide the ranks.

I guess going for it on your own 30 on the first drive of the game on the road against an inferior team is the way to go deep into the playoffs.

I'm fine with how he has gotten the team ready to play, but if he doesn't wise up he is going to cost them eventually.

McCathy changed the culture of the Cowboys in less than 21 games. Let his winning percentage as HC do the talking for him. Moore has found long term employment with the Cowboys and I bet he is grateful for McCarthy's mentorship. Don't forget, Moore has been the OC for three years. The offense never looked like this before and you're kidding yourself if you think it's all Moore.
