Most likely losing Moore next year

Romo said it a couple times yesterday during the broadcast that there’s no way Moore doesn’t become a HC next year.

So, most of my close Cowboy friends here locally are not happy with McCarthy despite the success we’re having . We all are excited about Moore and agree with Romo that he will be highly sought after next year.

Hopefully we will name Moore our HC next year before someone else does.

I think it depends on what Jerry offers him and if Moore feels any loyalty for being given a chance to prove himself as a coach. If the offer is right, he might just stay. his play calling yesterday was a bit suspect, so that might work against him

Honestly, I love Moore as our OC. Would he still keep his OC duties if he became HC? Doing both may be too tall of an order for the young OC. But, what the heck do I know. o_O

I hope JJ pays Moore like HC with the understanding that he is HC in waiting...I still think he has some growth before becoming a head coach...it takes more than being a innovative OC.

I also think Moore is young...and has a great opportunity to continue to grow into Hposition which will make him more successful down the road.

He’s going to be one of if not the hottest commodity next year. I think Romo was spot on.

Wait to see who will be in the head coach market. There is a reason, in addition to being a fraud, that Josh McDaniels turns down HC offers. Moore might like being a OC in Dallas more than he would like being a HC for the Giants, for example.

This is not going to be popular, but I think we're in more danger of losing Quinn than Moore. As Moose said in his show last week, teams are looking for leaders of men, not just the new hotshot offensive playcaller. Moore will get his chance, but I think Dan Quinn is ready sooner. And another unpopular opinion, if we were to lose Big Mike, I'd rather promote Dan Quinn than Kellen Moore to HC. He has brought the toughness to this team that wasn't here during Kellen's runs.

NFL teams will be licking their chops for a play caller like Moore. And the only way to get him is HC.

Hopefully our ownership will name him HC.

not sure if that's setting him up to fail. it takes a few years of experience to become a good HC in NFL. no rookie HC has ever made a serious run in the playoffs. so are we ready to let Moore learn on the job......and waste a couple of years of team potential.....

Maybe fans will feel differently if a boneheaded decision by McCarthy cost us in the playoffs.

I think the bigger question is are we prepared to lose Moore?

I'm not sure he is ready for HC just yet. I think if JJ pays him, along with maybe a promotion to assistant HC we may be able to keep him another year, then promote him to HC.

I would like to see some decent clock management. Sometimes I wonder what MM is doing. Just my perception.

I’d agree with much here as far as naming Quinn but the bigger issue is are we probated to keep McCarthy if it means letting Moore go?

Remember Moore wasn’t McCarthy’s guy although he agreed to retaining him. And this isn’t McCarthys offense.

I do not see Booger firing McC and promoting Moore.

There is a lot of unknown about what Moore wants. Does he want to HC in the NFL or would he prefer to return to the Northwest and coach a Pac 12 team?

We know of one opening already and there are usually a minimum of 5 with owners' patience at an all time low.

I don't think he'd take the Raiders gig because Mark Davis is going to counter Gruden with hiring the first black lesbian head coach.
