Best HC since JJ and we don't appreciate him

I’m a fan of MM for sure and you can tell he’s changed the culture of this team in a short period. These guys play for each other and they play with confidence and that is because of MM. Yeah MM makes some decision in game that make you go huh? But honestly I’ll take that all day because he believes in these guys to make a play. We’re lucky to have a coach like MM and his Pittsburg tough mentality.

I agree, Ranching -- far too many of the members here who were suffering from a PTSD-like syndrome from the Garrett era were ready to kick out MM from the start. At some point, when they saw that the winning results were forthcoming, they should have accepted him. The members here who were guilty of kicking him when he was down know who they are. Being a hapless malcontent is a sad way to act, as a trusted fan. The Cowboys are winners again and every one of us should appreciate that enough to give credit where it's due. MM has been a blessing, definitely not a curse!

Parcells didn't have the drive when he came to the Cowboys. I was at every padded practice in San Antonio training camps and he just kinda walked around playing mind games with players. He even said when he quit that he didn't have the drive anymore.
I was there too, we probably said Hey!!!!

Dak has never looked this good.

Looks Roger esk to me.

You think that’s Kellen Moore enhancing Daks skill set or a guy who had a direct hand in developing Joe Montana and Aaron Rodgers?

Before Daks deal most where saying he hit his ceiling. Now the question is, where is his ceiling?

I’m willing to bet McCarthy is the leading hand in the coaching ranks that has enhanced Daks development. He also had to give this organization the confidence that Dak is a $40 million a year player or the cheque would not have been written. They were going back and forth years on this deal.

People also forget how they wish they had McCarthy as a HC years ago, especially after he won the SB.

MM is the best HC we've had since JJ and that's including Parcels that was just collecting a paycheck......I don't get the hate! All coaches make bad calls from time to time. But he has our team ready to play every week. I appreciate MM and think he is doing a great job.
I will reserve opinion until he does something in the playoffs. I think to be blunt you are full of crap calling him better than BP. BP got us to the playoffs with Q at QB, Hambrick at RB, and a bunch of players that in a couple of years most of which were out of the NFL.

He said he didn’t have it in him to do everything it took to get to the point where we were in Seattle when Romo fumbled the snap.

The guy got handed crap and went 10-6 his first year and laid down a foundation that Dallas has stood firm on ever since he left to this day.

This team wins in spite of McCarthy.. Is he better than Garret? Sure. But that doesn’t mean anything because Garrett was awful.

He has changed the culture and the mentality of the players. That's hard to do this quickly after 10 years of JG suckage and last year's situation.

In what way has he changed the culture?

All he has done is let his coaches use X’s and O’s not out of the Stone Age.

I don't believe that part is true.

Not true, he has made a few blunders this year. If he had not, nobody would be doubting him!
Check other teams boards and you'll see fans complaining about their coaches blunders as well. All of them. Belicheck caught hell for punting in OT.

Okay, but that's not saying much.

If you bar is "just be better than Jason Garrett, Wade Phillips, and Dave Campo" then your bar is way too low.

You should expect MUCH better than those guys.

Jason Garrett had rookie Dak and Zeke sitting at 5-1 through 6 weeks, but MM is some kind of genius for having Dak and Zeke in their primes at 5-1 through 6 weeks? Again, expect better.
I don't remember questioning too many game-day calls Parcells made. But certainly better than the group above.

Parcells would have won the Super Bowl in 2007 if he stayed. He inherited a team bereft of talent. Making the playoffs with Quincy Carter and a bunch of other scrubs was one of the greatest coaching accomplishments in NFL history. If Parcells was younger and was the coach of this current team I would guarantee a Super Bowl win unless injuries derail them.

Here's something from 2017. Timeout usage and time management has always been an issue for McCarthy.

To compliment McCarthy you have to create this story of things we can’t see or measure and then give him credit for those things.

All the things we can see or measure that we know he is directly involved with in game have been absolutely horrible at times. The guy is all over the place.
