Just a thought…. But….. What about Gallup for OBJ… might have to send a pick to Cleveland also. But think of how unstoppable the Offense will be. And I’m one who always cries the offensive side is fine. We need more defense.

Wouldn’t touch OBJ for free and Gallup looked real good playing. I rather keep Gallup and not even use him as trade bait.

If we could trade DLaw and LVE for decent drafts picks I would do it.

But for a playoff run this year I would keep DLaw unless I got an offer that would make us fall off our chair, which we wouldn’t get.

LVE looks like he knows he’s not getting another deal with us and is saving his body. Wheels looking slow.

If I could get a one I’d trade him but I doubt the chiefs would give a one and still have to pay him
The Chiefs like the Rams are all in to win the next two to three seasons. Salary cap is not even a factor. Win now while Hill and Kelce are still in their primes.
Whats that saying.... it's a paraphrase... can't tell my courage from my desperation

Here is what one must ask if you want to plant a flag on 2021 NFL Everest:

-Is Kazee a trustworthy centerfielder, or could he cost you the home-run heard round the world?
-If McGovern or Williams can't move to center and play it soundly...is there someone out there who can?
-Can a plug'n play Brown corner replacement be found? (the rook ain't ready folks)
-Osa and Neville should provide a high level rotation at the one tackle, what about the other tackle....the anchor?

Not related to trades, but vital: is there an effective and subtle pepper spray for refs w/an agenda?
Yeah, run a crossing route with Jarwin who meets in the middle with Brown. :muttley:
Jarwin; "Whoops. Didn't see ya there ref. Sorry!"
Ref: "Yorp"

Not related to trades, but vital: is there an effective and subtle pepper spray for refs w/an agenda?

Problems on the team to address:
  • Is Kazee a trustworthy centerfielder, or could he cost you the home-run heard round the world?
  • If McGovern or Williams can't move to center and play it soundly...is there someone out there who can?
  • Can a plug'n play Brown corner replacement be found? (the rook ain't ready folks)
  • Osa and Neville should provide a high level rotation at the one tackle, what about the other tackle....the anchor?
  • As mentioned by another poster, do we trust LVE and the LB depth now? Esp if we find a good move for the future
  • Is Cooper our backup QB if Dak gets injured? Can he play more than 1-2 games without hurting us too much?
Future salary and draft considerations:
  • EDGE: Tank has a cap-killing contract, Gregory is a FA.
  • WR: Gallup and Wilson are FAs. Coop has a cap-killing contract. CeeDee gets a payday soon. We won't be able to maintain that.
  • Schultz looking like the #1 re-sign priority on offense. Most of are safety journeymen were on 1-year contracts including the biggest standout, Kearse.
  • Look for possible holdout from Diggs, less likely is Pollard
  • 2022 draft initial prospects look like it will be heaviest with strong QBs, WRs, OT, EDGE, and CB maybe the strongest.
Best teams to get prospects from, season over and many of them rebuilding:
  • AFC Dolphins, Jets, Jaguars, Texans, keep eyes on Patriots
  • NFC Giants, Lions, keep eyes on Seahawks, Falcons, Eagles, Commanders

Ready for this one........sign David Irving. And I am serious. Wouldnt cost you any pick, and basically no money. He's worth the risk of just having to cut him. He could impact the game so much its worth a shot this early into this run.

wait until we see if we meet the Packers in the playoffs then sign him to a one game contract

what does a guy who is out of the league for over a year bring to the table? if he was any good at all, he would have been signed already.... you are thinking of Irving from 5 6 years ago....that doesn't exist any more. Gallimore, Osa are heck of a lot better. bad signing

He is younger than Gregory.

And had been on Raiders roster last season, released before 2021 regular season.

Trade for Marcus Mariotta.

Or keep the pick and sign Cam Newton.

Mariota will not affect team chemistry like Newton might.

I seriously doubt David irving is in physical condition to be beneficial to the immediate needs of this franchise. He's likely been smoking pot to his free-spirited heart's content for who knows how long. He's also proven highly unreliable in the past. That's anything but a very practical idea, at this juncture.

Aside from all that, I'd be surprised if he'd want to come back to the Cowboys, in view of his past experiences with them. Our FO would likely pass, as well, according to Stephen's past comments, leaving no doubt that Irving wasn't wanted.

The pieces we could use to trade IMO are Connor Williams, Michael Gallup, Cedric Wilson, Blake Jarwin and Jourdan Lewis/Anthony Brown if you trade for a corner.

I wouldn’t trade for draft picks either, I’d want to trade with teams looking to rebuild and willing to give up guys that are foundation pieces for draft capital like the Cooper/Ramsey/Jamal Adams situation.

I’d be looking at Quinton Williams, Roquon Smith, Minkah Fitzpatrick, or maybe an aging vet target like Calais Campbell/JJ Watt were prior to their trades.

I'd keep our depth, trade picks.

We are loading up for a SB run man.

I'm the poised voice of reason on this forum and it's a burden I carry quietly, without complaint.

How many times have I said: "No you don't give two first round picks for Jamaal Adams, you füül." "No you don't trade a third for a 37-year old cornerback, or a previously big-name DT, who now can't even get out of bed. Especially when this team is a .500 team. Have you looked at our cap!?"

I've beaten down so many childish trade suggestions I've lost count.

But when a window opens to win a Super Bowl...it's only reasonable to consider what pieces could take this team over the top, and how to make those trades possible.

Now, Cowboys nation, Now I say: Let the trade games begin.
No way! Too early!
If any trade is to be made giving up draft picks, you wait for the trade deadline…..that’s when you know if your team is for real and healthy, and that’s when other teams who are resigned to a rebuild are ready to sell off very good players at the best prices.

Colts are struggling offensively.

Need upgrade at skill positions.

Quenton Nelson on IR (ankle).

Why not see if they'd like healthy Connor Williams, Mike Gallup + 3rd rounder for the injured Nelson?

Move McGovern to LG until Nelson recovers.

If we can get center, 2nd corner, or free safety upgrades without giving up a premium pick…I’m in.

I think it's LVE's brain that's telling his legs not to go full out, to save his neck from re-injury.

I think he’d be a bit more expensive than that but yeah, something like that. I’d also prefer to trade draft picks as you mentioned and would be looking for a player with two cheap years. The tradable players would however supplement draft picks because Ramsey went for two 1sts and a 4th and I’d want to avoid that type of price tag.

And I’d also keep letting McGovern take snaps at Center in practice so that he can cover both positions.

That would be a "HELL NO"! For as much talent this dude is suppose to have he's gone nowhere with his career.

Nelson is awesome, but still a guard.

And NFL has become a WR league.

A scoring league.

We are.way past Irving. And he didn't make any noise with raiders.... He is done in The NFL but we fans on this board think that we bottled up their skills and they take a sip from the bottle when they walk through our doors and go back to being what they were...and he wasn't that great to begin with...
