My favorite is Mayhem,Immortal,Darkthrone and Emperor

Just listened to Emperor's Black Wizard. Apparently they are the best in that genre.

Ok, music is a mood thing, when do I or anyone get in that mood? Trust me I have heard it all, hell...African tribal music, Indian flute music.

Where exactly is that music suppose to take me? I don't see me in a mood where that stuff would fit.

I first heard this song in a bar on Wikiki in my navy days, the house band doing it, didn't know it was a cover at that time. So every time I hear it there is that memory of me and some buddies far away from our homes............




This reminds me of my peach picking days...

I like a good deal of the music. The vocals are a tad hard for me at times.
I don't mind cookie monster vocals, I enjoy quite a few bands with that style..but the higher end almost screaching style voices are not my cup of tea.
I think some would be much better with the deeper style cookie monster vocals ala Obituary and other Tampa Death metal bands.

I'm not a fan of the cookie monster style. My favorite metal genre is symphonic metal with female operatic style singing like Nightwish and Epica.

Rammstein is about as close to this as I get but if there is an audience for this kind of music, it is most deserving. It is all art.

I am melody driven so if I can find one within any song that connects, I am good with that regardless of the genre. I just don't have a lot of exposure to this genre but my favorite color of clothing is black.
