Favorite Male/Female Vocalist

There are so many, but for female how about Amy Winehouse and male Jim Morrison. Like I said I could add many to the list that have not already been mentioned. How about Axl Rose and Scott Weiland. Particular songs only go with certain voices.

Female: Either Karen Carpenter or Linda Ronstadt
Male: Clarence "Frog Man" Henry
This might sound crazy but it's true. There was a girl I dated and was briefly engaged to. Her sister was a Folk/Country singer who moved to Nashville to try and make it. Linda Ronstadt co-produced a album she started and sang backup vocals on some songs. Not sure if it was ever finished? My favorite of Linda's is Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me.

Morrison was another underrated voice considering he had no formal voice instruction.

This will date me. But this is another one of those classic smooth as satin voices. Stage outfits will get some laughs. Almost as bad as Karen Carpenter hair styles lol.

Went to Black and Blue Sunday at the Hartford Civic Center in 1980.
Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio having recently replaced Ozzy and Blue Oyster Cult. Great show.

To many favorites to mention but I'll throw these two in the mix.

Saw Gary Puckett, Hermans Hermits, and The Monkees after a Texas Rangers game back in 1986 or 1987....was actually really good.
Does Mannix come from the TV show?

My Mom's favorite show. Watched it every week as a kid.

Yes....its actually on FETV every nite at 9:00 and 10:00 here in Dallas....it was my babysitters favorite show when I was young. Check out this cool video about his car....enjoy!

How about Meatloaf? I'll share what might not be well known. Derek St. Holmes, lead singer for much of Ted Nugent's "early, good stuff", quit in the middle of the Free-for-All album. Meatloaf stepped in for the last half of the album. Maybe not the best song to showcase his voice but I really love the song.
