I kinda hope Rush Starts

I'm scared of Green Bay if it's at Green Bay. I'm not scared of them at home, even though we're 0-3 at home against them with Dak... the home field advantage ambiance has improved big time this year and we finally have a defense that feeds off the home crowd and plays well at home.
Scared??? Must be Halloween!

It will give Dak time to get healthy, it will allow us to see what he can do....if he fails, maybe we pull off a trade for a backup......We are 3 games ahead with a favorable schedule coming up.....
Ideally, I want Dak 100% but this may be a good time to see what we got and what we need....Salud!
I understand that you are worried about Dak....but I'd rather forfeit the game then risk someone else getting hurt during a Rush start....the guy is trash and has ZERO business still being our backup....especially given we are 5-1....there is a ZERO percent chance of us winning with him at QB the entire game.

I wouldn't go and sign anyone at this point unless we are worried about a future injury. First you have to get the guy under contract and get him here. Then he has to learn the offense which is going to take at least the game after this one to get even some of it down. By then, if this really is just a calf strain Dak should be back. So again, unless we are looking at future injuries, no reason to sign anyone at this point in the season.

At least! Great point. I totally agree.

Unfortunately, that's not an option.....don't know where you're from, but we don't quit or lay down for anyone where I come from.

Wait, so playing for the #4 seed is loser mentality, but preferring to lose completely is..........what?
Realism. I'd take a 2010 or 2015 or 2020 type season where I could spend the fall and winter not closely following the NFL and doing other productive things as opposed to a year like 2014 or 2016 where we get so hopeful and emotionally attached, only for it to bitterly crumble apart.

I've shared my qualifications, what are yours? Madden? I'd really like to know what backs up your opinions.....I respect most of them, but some are a bit off the wall and I'd like to know what backs them up....no disrespect, just wondering..
I don't see what coaching high school or playing Madden has to do with just basically being okay with giving a game away that could or could not come back to haunt you later in the season.

If Cooper Rush, who has 3 pass attempts in 5 years, starts Sunday night were are more than likely losing that game.

I'm not okay with that and I'll never be okay with that. No coach or Madden player will make me okay with just accepting defeat.

He's a pro in the NFL, so what makes you doubt him? What do you know that we don't?

If Rush starts and fails it will likely lead to a beat down that would kill all the momentum we’ve built up the last several weeks. A bad performance by Rush could send us in the wrong direction. Pulling off a trade for a QB almost halfway through the season isn’t going to work. Once you set sail with what you have you have to stay the course. We traded for a QB during the season in 2015 and it didn’t work. It takes them at least a couple of weeks just to get them up to speed with the offense. You’re not going to have success with a QB who spent training camp and part of the regular season with another team. Practically all of us here including those in the media were saying it was a mistake not making a more for a viable backup QB during the summer. The decision to go with what we have might come back to bite us. Personally, I would’ve kept Garrett Gilbert, at least he played a game last season and had some success. Granted it was pick your poison but at least he had taken more meaningful snaps than Cooper Rush

You can do that now. lol
at 5-1, hands kinda tied toward the 2014, 2007, 2016 ball park

You have three categories of season...

Category A: 2007, 2014, 2016, possibly this year

Category B: 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2019 - the most common type, especially in the Garrett era. Either we just barely make or barely miss the playoffs, either way we're going nowhere

Category C: 2010, 2015, 2020 - seasons lost to QB injury early on, and we can mercifully move on from football until the next year's training camp.

if it's in North east Wisconsin in mid-late January... Dak's southern blooded arm will freeze off by the 8 minute mark of the first quarter and he'll have to be rushed to the hospital to avoid hypothermic amputation. No thank you.
Aaron Rodgers is on record saying no one "gets used to the Green Bay winters". So it's a myth GB has an advantage in the cold weather.

yeah

Remember 2014

Missing Romo for two games (Washington and Arizona home losses) meant ALL the difference in likely making the Super Bowl or suffering the defeat in Lambeau that we did to the zebras and Rodgers.

If Romo doesn't miss those, we're the #1 seed, get the bye, likely make the super bowl with HFA. Instead we lose the three way tiebreaker at 12-4 and have to play wild card weekend and then go on the road, thus squelching our season.

We CANNOT afford to miss Dak for any games, it will ruin our standings. We must get the bye if we want a Super Bowl this year.

If Dak needs to miss a game or 3 now is the time. I want him back for the KC game and beyond. With KC being a warm up game and Raiders and Saints being potential playoff calibre teams I want Dak at his best here.

Agreed, but that ship has sailed..

We'll be out of the contention for the bye if we're 5-4 by the time Dak gets back... we'll be locked in to that dreaded #4 seed of death in the stacked NFC... the seed which nobody wants
