I kinda hope Rush Starts

We'll be out of the contention for the bye if we're 5-4 by the time Dak gets back... we'll be locked in to that dreaded #4 seed of death in the stacked NFC... the seed which nobody wants
Dak might miss this game. I'm sure he'll be back for the next one, even if he does.

I played sports and learned along time ago that 2 possible outcomes will take place, you win or you lose. You give best effort and deal with it like a man regardless of the outcome. I want nothing more than to see this team back in the SB and win it. I have seen every SB appearance this team has made and still want it just as bad. But I will not sit there and say unless we get 1 or 2 seed I don't want to watch it, I would as soon they lose? Give me a break. NY Giants went in as a WC took Down Dallas then went too Green Bay and took them down then faced Unbeaten Pats team and won. No one knows the outcome of any game. Great thing about sports it is not scripted, what took place last year or last 25 years means nothing and has no bearing on anything.
I still consider the Patriots by far the best team of that 2007-08 season. the Giants run was just sheer luck, the division game was won by the other team dropping footballs, the championship game was won by the other team's special teams fumbling on a kickoff in overtime, and the super bowl was won by a miracle helmet catch by a 3rd string blocking tight end on a prayer throw that should have been intercepted. The Patriots were the actual champs that year and the Cowboys were the best NFC team. The NY Giants were definitely NOT the best team that year and that "ring" comes with an asterisk because of that.

Garrett Sucks...

Not that day. lol No way would I have ever wanted Jason to QB the Cowboys full time and even after that game was looking forward to getting Troy back (he was being a wuss, you know) but on that day Jason went out and helped this team. If Rush is forced into action I expect him to help his team.

You lost me.....who said that we want to lose?

I would like Dak to play, however, if Rush has to play, maybe, just maybe, our little child like face OC can come up with a good game plan for him. After all, if worse comes to worse, he has been practicing with the team since training camp, so maybe the team can compensate for his short comings. But, sooner or later, hopefully not, we will have to see at some point just what this dude is all about.

Does not matter what you think, results are what count. NY was the actual champ because they won, they went out and made the plays and won the game. That is why the game is played on the field, not in the newspaper, not on talk shows or in your head. I felt Dallas was the better team and then felt GB was the better team and yes felt NE was the better team but what matters is what happens on the field.

both of those teams were unbalanced and not built to drop back and pass pass pass and score quickly (2007 Romo with bad pass pro oline/2016 rookie Dak despite great oline was a check down charlie unlike today's Dak) also both teams had inferior defenses than now, the 2021 Cowboys defense definitely does better at home and feeds off the home crowd energy unlike previous Cowboy teams

Romo had a very solid OL in 2007. He was on pace for 40 TDs. We had one of the most explosive offenses in the league that season averaging almost 33 points a game until December. Dak was a rookie in 2016 so he checked down a lot but our running game was amazing. His job that season was to manage games and not make mistakes.

I think they have to play for the #1 seed, which means try to win every game. I am torn between resting Dak and not resting Dak.

Making the playoffs is what matters. I'd rather have a healthy Dak going into the playoffs then see him get hurt, miss a few games and be a maybe for the playoffs. But like I said if he needs to miss now is better than later. What I don't want is to have Dak miss NFCE conference games due to this injury. So i'm listening to the trainers and leaning towards whatever they think.

My apologies, I may have misunderstood.
He's emotional and always following me around like a fangirl, so excuse his emotional nonsense.

Anyways, Rush gives me no confidence. You say you always wanted an opportunity to get film on your guys? Okay, but that's what preseason and blow outs are for. If Dak can go then he should go. It should never be a question of "Well, maybe we should be overly cautious and rest Dak and play Cooper to get some film on him". We have won 5 straight games. Momentum matters and we need to keep this ball rolling.

So, if Dak can't play we just won't play? Stupid

Meh. Eli Manning and the Giants were only the best team in the NFC one year, that was 2008, and the Titans were the best team in the NFL that year.

A
It will give Dak time to get healthy, it will allow us to see what he can do....if he fails, maybe we pull off a trade for a backup......We are 3 games ahead with a favorable schedule coming up.....
Ideally, I want Dak 100% but this may be a good time to see what we got and what we need....Salud!
Agreed
