Still holding onto Cooper in the offseason?

We'd be holding on to two #1's until it is time to pay another #1.. Lamb is still on his rookie deal for 3 more seasons.
It's still cheaper to keep Gallup than it is to keep Cooper. Way cheaper. What is so hard to understand about that?

You do realize that CeeDee gets all the single looks when Cooper is on the field because teams roll coverage to Coop right? Do you actually watch any coaching tape? Keep Coop, get rid of Zeke and collins, $ problems solved. Offense still elite....

I keep hearing many keep-Cooper supporters say that, but this year, that has not been the case.

Cooper has been getting lots of single coverage. If anything, it is CeeDee Lamb who has drawn lots of double coverages.

Clearly, this year is showing CeeDee getting double coverages more than most of our receivers, hence another example of who now truly is our #1 WR, thus making Cooper and his overpaid contract expendable.

And teams are more scared of Cooper, the Pats doubled him, creating space and one on one's for CeeDee and Wilson....You trade high draft picks to then dump a number one receiver three years later....don't think so!
Not true.

Lots of single coverages against Cooper this season...

Single coverage on Cooper vs the Bucs:

Single coverage on Cooper vs the Patriots

If anything, CeeDee is the one who has been receiving more double coverages.

You guys need to stop spreading falsehoods. The videos clearly show differently.

LOL you just put highlights up of Amari's best game and CeeDee's worst. Amari isn't going anywhere...

I put up highlights proving you wrong. Cooper has not been receiving double coverages this year. It's been CeeDee. Videos prove that. Stop spreading falsehoods.

Posting "Youtube" Joe Fan highlights doesn't prove anything at all. That's not coaches tape and you have to evaluate an entire game, every snap... you proved nothing AT ALL....do yourself a favor and get subscribed to Game Pass so you can watch a little more film and educate yourself a little. I guarantee no one else in the building feels the way you do.

We will see after this season who knows more.

We've been hearing this garbage from guys like you since Cooper signed his deal, yet he continues to put up the stats and make big plays even with garbage QB's like last year... yep we'll see..

:flagwave:coooooooooooooooooop:flagwave:
im holdin on to 19 as long as we can.

I would rather restructure Cooper and draft Gallups replacement. Maybe pay Wilson or Brown if they could be had for a reasonable price.

I haven't said anything of the sort against Cooper until this year. Actually, I've been a big supporter of his, so stop with your lies and get a hold of your fragile emotions. This is based on business and how it affects the Cowboys salary cap going forward, plus what is best to keep a playoff competent team intact.

I'm just saying that people have been complaining since he got paid. Fine, you loved him until this year but he can restructure and move money to signing bonus to save on the cap. The most business smart thing to do is get out from under the ridiculous Zeke contract...no way a RB should be paid that much in this system. Something will have to happen with Cooper eventually but he isn't going anywhere until Lamb's rookie contract is done.

I'm pretty indifferent with Cooper, I think he can be replaced for a lower price, BUT... Dak is clearly comfortable with him and trusts him, Dak is a QB that needs to be comfortable to succeed. If Cooper makes him comfortable, you keep Cooper. Building a Dak friendly team is the only thing that matters.

Agreed on Zeke's contract, but Gallup’s performance now that he's coming back will determine much about Cooper after this season.

Naw because we'll get probably a 3rd round compensatory when Gallup leaves also. He'll probably sign for close to Amari when he leaves anyways. Gallup is going to be gone.
