Still holding onto Cooper in the offseason?

You dont think that Gallup can get 1100 yards and 6-8 TD's without Cooper in the lineup? He has already dont that.

Lamb is the one that is replacing Cooper. Its Wilson that wont be able to replace Gallup. Not opposed to drafting a young receiver. We can also find plenty of good veterans in FA.
Finally somebody gets it! Lamb was drafted to replace Cooper not Gallup. Coops contract is the problem. Lamb has 2 more years at low cost, Gallup being a fair price is the biggest key. Lamb, Gallup, and Wilson or FA is better overall for the team.

DLaw and eventually Zekes contracts are also key to the younger FA players that will.also have to be released

Copper showed veteran Experiece tonight . Big plays . Justifying lots of his salary . Will be interesting to see how he can be kept .

This is why you need Coop on the team. With Coop and Lamb you can draft that third receiver.

They really don't need to do anything to "keep" him....he's a #1 receiver on a deal. Lamb is a #1 receiver on a rookie deal. They can afford them both plus the salary cap is increasing by like 80 million or something insane. Zeke and Collins are the contracts that really need to be revisited..

Zeke has to be traded or take a massive cut . Cooper at 14 mil is palpable . But 19-20 is extreme and may mean losing OL and DL talent . Cee Dee will keep getting better .

Gallup is not gonna be that much cheaper
He will get 12 mil
I wait and see if a WR falls to me in the draft
Let Gallup walk, sign Wilson and if a guy falls to me I move on from Cooper
But moving on from players is not free
We are already over the cap and cutting Cooper guarantees to have to restructure Dak and others because it cost 6 mil
I really don’t want to restructure Smith or Zeke myself

You realize that's almost half as much?

Fans have to understand that because of our success people are going to be coming after our guys in FA. Shultz, Gregory, Kazee, ect...ect......

LVE is probably gone too. We have to replace or resign all these guys. Cooper is a luxury we no longer can afford. A team shouldnt have to score 34 points per game to win in this league. With the run game we have we can still be great in the passing game with Shultz, Lamb, and Gallup. Heck we have been doing it since Gallup went down and that is with Cooper limping around and not contributing much during that time.

Gregory is a must the way he is playing. I just hope he doenst want some 18 million or some crazy number.

Well Tank is taking in 20 million. I'm sure they are going to bring that up when he is in contract negotiations.

If there is anyone that we should cut to make cap room, its Demarcus Lawrence.

If it ain’t broke do t fix it. $22 million or not!
