Are the Rams now the favorite in the NFC?

Rams definitely are loaded on paper. No doubt about it. Only thing stopping me from already crowning them is that we've seen these NFL "dream teams" before. Usually, it never ends the way you would suspect. So, we will see.

I have always been the guy who says you can't buy a championship. The Rams have a lot of personality on their team, and adding OBJ could be the nail in their coffin. He is not a teammate, he is a locker room cancer which is an intangible that beraks championship hopes. Could be wrong, but if I was a fan I'd hate having him
Totally agree. Seen this many times before and it usually does not work.

Miller could move the needle, OBJ not so much. Is he going to take targets away from Kuup or Woods? Probably not.

Stafford has had time to gain a rapport with Kupp and Woods, even jefferson .. but OBJ may likely takes some time.
Frankly Beckham has more pure talent than any of them. But is he a gamer and clutch when he needs to be is the question i have with him.

It's looking sweet and glowing "on paper" .. but what about championship pedigree ?
what about being " clutch" when all the stakes are on the line in playoffs?

McVay got to the big dance with Jared Goff as QB,.. so he's hoping he can scheme and do it again with Matthew Stafford.

McStaff has a stronger support group as Goff did, with OBJ on the scene to join kupp woods and jefferson, ..but they currently do not have that Gurley like back., and is Matty Staff a clutch QB when it whines down in the last minutes of a game ?

we all know Brady is just flat out in a league by himself when it comes to clutch play in championship run. .he's only limited by a questionable support cast as what he had in his finaly years in NE.
All we can do is look on paper at this juncture, we know Brady is money in the postseason and probably has the best talent around him. Stafford still has to prove it.

We’d definitely put them up there. And with Cowboys injuries on defense we are looking more like the 4th seed behind Tampa, LA or AZ and GB.

Our defense looks to again hold us back from a deeper run.

And the fact as 4th seed will draw either LA or AZ could be another one and done.

I’d be pleased with 3 seed.

I think we can win a home playoff game, but will be very difficult to win two road games against these teams. Believe we are up in coming, like the Cardinals, where the other three are Super Bowl or bust this season. I think you are right, most likely a 3 or 4 seed.

None of these teams are unbeatable......do people really trust Stafford? Murray has had bad games....GB may be the only place I wouldnt want to play, but who knows whats gonna happen to Rodgers....we will see how it all plays out.

I always rate Arizona behind the others as well.

Then I watch them play. They are really, really good.

I've got them first in the entire league right now.

Dallas needs the right breaks to advance deep in the playoffs. They can't just show up and figure just get into the tournament and anything can happen.

While there may be some truth to that cliche, winning a tough home game followed by two road games against the leagues elite probably isn't going to happen.

They need to parlay the easy division into a top record and high seed.

I dont see this staff as wanting to put the hammer down for seeding vs wanting to get everyone as healthy as possible for that impossible task of taking on the entire NFC in January on the road.
Just wrote it in another response, feel TB, GB and Rams are Super Bowl or bust teams, where ARZ/Dal are teams on the rise, but aren't as complete as those top 3.

Tampa is the best IMO.

Zona is probably 2nd with GB. Zona killed the Rams the first go around, and smoked Tenny, and Cleveland. Those are three good wins right there.

I think if the Cowboys play the Rams, the Buccaneers, or the Packers or heck even the Cardinals in the first game, they lose. I do feel this is a one and done team. They likely win the division and lose the playoff game.
Think they will have a good chance of winning a home game, but not so much on the road.

i will never trust Matt Stafford over other QBs. His winning percentage against teams over .500 is beyond putrid.
Well Peyton Manning won a Superbowl in 2016 when he didn't play that well. Defense wins championships.

With yesterday's signing of ODB and acquiring Von Miller the prior week, are the Rams the favorites to the NFC crowded class?

-They basically traded D. Jackson for ODB. Is there offense more explosive then the rest of the field? Probably not, but now are in the conversation. Still believe the Bucs have the best offense out of the 5, but it's real close. Each of the 5 teams are loaded on the offensive side of the football.

-Their Defense is star driven with Donald, Von Miller and Ramsey. Are they the best defense in the conference when all teams are healthy? Again, think the Bucs have the edge, especially if their secondary is healthy, but Rams are right up there. Now, the key word is healthy.

Taking off the Cowboy homer glasses, in my opinion, the Bucs maintain the favorites, but the Rams might be the next team right behind. Doesn't mean either team is unbeatable on a given day, but on paper they are the cream of the crop in the conference.
Cards, Rams or Bucs will be representing the NFC in this year's SB.....

Well Peyton Manning won a Superbowl in 2016 when he didn't play that well. Defense wins championships.

Just as career backup type Nick Foles won a Super Bowl subbing for injured Wentz, ..as he played solid when he was needed to, and a defense that stepped up when they needed to .
.at just the right stretch and time.
