The Chiefs fans dont take us seriously

I completely agree. I feel in order to be the man you got to beat the man. This is a man up game for us. If we are who we think we are we will beat them. They've been contenders the last couple years and we have not. If we're a contender then we prove it on their field.

If you look back at the post before the game, many thought we could lose after what happened against the Broncos..

My point here is that respect is earned based on what you have done over a stretch of games. Cowboys have the best offense in the NFL, and a very good special teams and defense that is rising up... For the Chiefs fans to not understand this just shows how delusional they are, that is all I'm saying.. Whatever the Chiefs did the last couple of years has very little to do with what they're doing this season, different year, different situation.

I hear you brother, and your points are well made. This Cowboys team is an offensive juggernaut and worthy of some respect for that. I just think until we win several playoff games in a row, we are not going to get any real respect outside of our hard core fan base.

Reminds me a little of the Cowboys of my childhood- those late 60s teams that had the best offense in the NFL with Landry’s progressive offense using guys like Don Meredith, Bob Hayes, Don Perkins, Pettit Norman, etc….we were really good until the playoffs. That changed in the 70s because we finally started winning playoff games. THAT’S what this team must do again. Win some playoff games- plural- and the respect that matters will follow.

I agree respect is always earned never given. As a longtime Cowboys fan I'm always in their corner but for those other fans and media, you want respect you go out and earn it. To me this is a respect game, a win is great a loss really will not hurt outside the loss in general but in terms of tie breaker AFC games are not part of the NFC tie breaking procedure. In other words the game vs Atlanta was actually more important but in terms of respect it is games like this where you start earning it

I grew up being a fan of the Chiefs as well and that is thanks to my grandfather who was a huge fan so moseying over to their forum isn't out of the norm for me...

One thing that struck me was when I was over at their forum they're totally 100% all saying that beating us should be an easy win. Some of the things they brought up was that we've beat bad teams, and that Big Mike was a horrible coach and Andy Reid has his number.

Some of the other things were that our linebackers are terrible, and that Dak has a noodle arm. They also pointed out that the beating we took at the hands of the Bronco's was an example of who we really are...

They believe their defense will shut down our run and we will collapse.. They're talking about running table easily...

I don't know about you guys, but I see a team in Kansas City that has some serious issues. I'm not about to be like their fans and assume we're going to walk into their house and whip them, but I seriously don't understand why the delusion is so prevalent.

For me, this is one of those games where it could go either way, but to assume we're an easy out is pure idiocy.

My old hometown.I was there for 26 years. Flying in to go to the game with other Cowboys fans. Can't wait! My Chiefs friends that are knowledgeable are very worried about this game.
 
The fact that that the Cowboys may be disrespected upon arriving in KC should get their dander up very effectively! The arrogant fans in KC might get the surprise of their lives, if we're able to make things miserable for them. Hopefully, we'll arrive ready to shake their world. On any given day, any team can be beaten. The Chiefs are no different. It's, very much, a matter of execution and desire.
I believe our players are highly capable of that.:thumbup:

I'm sure you know this but we have an insecure fan base. They care about what the media thinks, those phony power rankings say, and everything in between as they swear up and down they don't actually care. We are the Cole Beasley's wife and Tad Prescott of football fans except we have this place instead of Twitter, lol.

lol...I don't even take the Cowboys serious. I ain't not seen nutten yet...but some boys having fun.
 
Aside from Cowboy fans, NO ONE wants the Chiefs to lose to Dallas!

You should also probably worry about how terrible the defense is. I get the confidence, but to dismiss us is foolish. The recipe is simple, pound them to submission. Let Dak take advantage of forcing them to load the box and when this offense starts humming they won't have enough time on the field for their own offense. Dallas by 10+

I don't think the Chiefs will be overlooking us like their fans might. Both teams should view this as a chance to make a statement. The Chiefs show their back/legitimate again by beating an 8-3 team. We continue to show we're legitimate by beating a team that made the Super Bowl the last two years.

If we run the ball and control the clock we'll win. If it's a shootout it turns into a coin flip.
