I am shocked by the negativity

I'm not ripping Dallas, but Arizona has played with their QB2 for the last three games.

Yeah, I personally cut them slack for that but I was making the point for all of the fans in this thread that say injuries at key positions are completely irrelevant to outcomes.

What do you think drives a fan base to this level of degeneracy? I am actually floored by how many people are so desperate to see this team implode. They literally want nothing more than to be able to say "told you so" when our players fail. It is really sad.

I'm not sure but it's sad when you would rather be right to make a point to internet strangers than to see the team you are supposedly a fan of succeed. Years of failure and being emotionally scarred? Defense mechanism?

I honestly think the Dallas teams of the 70s, 80s, and 90s were generally unsustainably good for longer than is usually possible in the NFL. Most fanbases have never experienced that level of sustained success because the NFL is setup so it is hard to stay that good for that long. That extended run at the top of the league followed by the last two decades of heart break and suffering have created a toxic set of conditions that were just right.

My thinking is they probably were rather deflated with Coop testing positive just before getting on the bus to go to KC. They had a plan probably with Coop that they'd been practicing all week, and then they can't use that plan. Now they can plan on what to do sans Coop.

My negativity was for 5 or 6 years during Romo's tenure ONLY because I thought Romo got (hall of famer) TO kicked off the team and I never forgave him for that so I gave that dude hell, and the fans that supported him, and I'm sorry.

When you hold a grudge, you lose. So I stopped doing that and now I'm a positive (as I possibly can be) poster.

The negativity is because people expected this from the past performances to be to be a Playoff team. The way we played, however, makes it seem that we can't hang with other teams in the Playoffs. People are expecting to get there, but we don't want to be one and done. Many people saw the game as a measuring stick game, and didn't measure up.

Folks I am as harsh a fan on this forum as any. I have gotten a lot of hate for it over the years.

I am feeling pretty good about the season right now. 7-3. Parsons is a beast. Dak is playing great. Diggs is a beast. CeeDee looks great. Zeke has had a nice recovery. No more Jaylon. We own the division. What did you all expect? KC without 2 of your top pass rushers. No Cooper. No Smith. It was a tough ask. Defense definitely tightened up. That’s encouraging. Real encouraging. Who here wouldn’t have signed up for 7-3 in July? I don’t understand why people are so negative. The situation is much better than we thought it would be. Defensive help is on the way and we get Smith and Cooper back. This team will find that other gear.
