Losses really bring out the ignorance in fans

I know they say the more you love something the harder it is to see it clearly. This is 10000% true for a lot of the posters on this board.

The second the cowboys lose a game it’s: “Packers, bills, Rams etc etc contending team would never lose like this blah blah” (even when those said teams lose that same day too lol)

“elite qbs would never play like this blah blah” (even tho every elite qb has had multiple stinkers this year lol)

it’s like peoples brains and football analysis abilities revert to the level of a 5 year old when their team loses cuz of course we know every team has to go undefeated to win the Super Bowl. Yep every SB winner including the Bucs last year all had 16-0 records go look it up.

Anyway it’s one bad game where our backup wrs couldn’t get open on the chiefs corners (because ceedee and Amari both were gone). Hey crap happens, it’s 1 loss that’s not the end of the world and I’m onto Raiders on turkey day. Go cowboys!!!:star:
You might as well forget it. Mental illness and juvenile behavior is strong in this bunch. You might as well find a nice spot on the wall and bang your head against it. Same results but the wall isn’t as frustrating. Or as dumb.

up until tonight all the Bucs/Brady fans in the world were one step to jumping out their windows. Sports fans are great, yet so pathetic. Remember when there was no sports due to covid? We all wanted this back for the distraction, and now we lose our minds one week and ready to plan our ticker tape parade the next!! SPORTS, SPORTS, gotta love Sports.

Well I'm not upset, it's more of scratching my head. I mean where do we stand right now? I just thought we were a little further ahead. Killing that KC momentum would have been a great statement. A "Cindarella season" is always nice of course but I don't need it to be happy or enjoy following the Cowboys. Plus it's no guarantee for a good play off performance anyway. But just not knowing what this team is all about isn't something I expected mid season. Losing after putting up a show like against Tampa is one thing. Getting steamrolled by a defence that has had alot of issues even though it has some newfound strength is something totally else.

Even a blow out win against the Raiders won't tell me anything about this team. I'll need a couple of games now to make up my mind. Let's hope the Cowboys will start a new winning streak.
3 of the next 4 are on the road, so we will find out pretty quick where we stand.

I still think we win the division, too big of a hole for the rest of the East to catch us, but #1 seed and bye are probably gone.

@Jstopper you know got dang well a team with three losses on it's record cannot win a Superbowl. And that's a fact. So why make this thread calling people out?

What happened is fans started drinking the kool-aid. They started thinking about home field advantage and lost sight of the first team goal. MAKE-THE-PLAYOFFS ...
So you are saying we win out? Bold prediction.

3 losses at this point. Two embarrassing azz whuppins. concerning..

I don't just want to make the playoffs... I want to be adept and competent and beat good teams.

We shouldn't fold just yet....but better get our ship together.

And you call this football analysis? Did you forget about the 16 points we managed against the Broncos or 20 we put on the Vikings? This offense is struggling and blowing out Atlanta doesn't change that trend. And oh yeah, CD played most of the first half and did nothing.

The fact is that this team doesn't look super bowl bound and its QB play the last month is a big reason why. Dak unloads on the bad teams and struggles against the good teams. Thats the book on him. Sorry if it doesn't jive with your worship of the dude.

The flip side is homers tend to look at losses and always think it’s just a blip, often ignoring underlying issues.

I disagree. I think success deluded our fan base this season. Everyone was predicting a championship at 6-1 and many were at 7-2. The reality is, we aren’t a championship level team and the losses have brought people back to reality.

I honestly think a 2nd round playoff exit would be a decent season for this team. I picked them to go 7-10 preseason.

Check out the point totals some of the other “contenders” have put up in some of their games and come back and comment on it. I dare you.

Cowboys fans are the dumbest on the planet. Bad losses bring out the idiots and roaches.

Or some people are too dumb to realize who is injured.

The defense held KC to 19 points so that is a positive. Still have our starting DE out. Starting WRs we’re out and more. Thanksgiving will be a real test with these injuries but we will bounce back when we get our starters back. Let’s see how the team responds Thursday. McCarthy needs to have this team fired up.
This game was encouraging actually.

I know I know shame on me. The second we lost that home opener to Bucs we should have thrown in the towel. *sigh* well there’s always next year :muttley:

Don’t compare that loss to the Chiefs loss.

We played good against the Bucs and Dak was great.

Dak looked like his throw back go as the team goes self last Sunday. He was part of the problem in a huge game.

And this hits on my main knock on Dak. He's inconsistent. One week he looks like the league MVP and the next week he can't lead the offense to a TD.

Ya me too. anyone that thought we were going to win sunday was probably fooling themselves. The only thing i am concerned with was how we lost. I figured wed lose just not with the offense being the problem. id figured KC would shred our defense. I also understand that missing Cooper, CeeDee, Tyron is a huge issue. Now maybe Mike recognizes the problems on this team and is being over cautious. Dak looked like Dog manure early on but his problems were magnified by Noah Brown, Cedrick Wilson, and Gallup all who had huge drops. Dak passes when complete were off the mark at times as well. The Oline is no where near what it was. Anyone who thinks that tyrons return is going to fix it is quite optomistic IMO. Will he improve it yes but its not a fix.

Im honestly not too worried about the offense they will be fine I think. I dont believe that the defense can hold up. Micah parsons is going to run out out juice at some point and hes the straw that stirs the drink. We just need to get healthy. All of the pessimist's out here on this site can have their week. They will soon sink back into their the cave and we wont hear from them until we lose again.

so did the offensive line.

That happens when you lose your number 1 2 days before the game. I really dont think anyone here realizes how good Cooper really is and what he does for this offense.
