To those complaining about Dak's contract

That's right, but I think it was Jerry Jr. that did not get it done. There seems to be some bad history of when and when not to sign a player early. Here is an example of how to get ahead. After next year Re-sign Parsons to a long term contract. Why, he will be the building block for the defense for the next 10 years, there is nothing to over think.

Here is an example of what might happen. Jerry Jr. will give out a big contract to Gregory and most likely will pan out for about 1 year, but that is about it. It's better to just let Gregory go and get a comp pick. Let Parsons take over at DE. Wait and see.

I agree, they should get Parsons' deal done as soon as they can. Especially with how hard his will be considering he can play like 3-4 positions on that side of the ball.

Of course Jerry decides what Jerry decides and we don't have a say in it, but 26 years of mediocrity says Jerry is probably not always right. And Jerry has given contracts to Zeke, Demarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith, and Amari Cooper. We are fans, in a forum, discussing various topics about our team. There is no dispute that Dak's contract is a done deal and nothing can change that. However, it is fair to discuss whether Dak's performance on the field matches the money he is paid. The same goes for Zeke, DLaw and anyone else. In fact, we discuss many topics in these forums that we have no control over. We share our thoughts and opinions and sometimes debate. That's all we can do. Anyone here who has the power or position to do more, by all means please do it because Jerry needs a lot of help.

so the alternate to resign daks was what ?

spend the next 2-3 drafts trying to find a player that takes 3-4 years to get to daks level..we lose a bunch more games until then but hey if we win the draft that all that matters here right? tank get good draft picks become the jags, jets, browns ,panthers, skins, giants, and many other bottom 16 teams still looking for a QB like Dak? there are nt 20 qbs better then dak so 12 teams have very good qbs and we are one of them..

so hes not elite but hes top 10 those are hard to find we saw this show many times..

grow up..this is a team sport and daks not perfect, hes not elite but hes very good and at times great. you should be able to win games when the qb scores 28+ points and at times we fail to do so give up too many points like the bucs game and recently the raiders game..these are not on dak..

IMO hes had two games he was part of the reason we lost Denver but that was team loss really and the KC game that's on him for sure..

so he plays very well more games then not..get over it..plenty of football left to get where we want to go..

I like Dak. I think he was worth the contract because he's a solid player and that there weren't many options aside him when his contract was up. The team including him need to play better, but I think he can win us a championship. I'm just saying to those complaining about the contract, they should be blaming Jerry and not Dak.

, they dont run teams, none of that is their business..

the alternative is not having a team 6-1 and all was good not one complaint, many great things said,

now he isnt but a 7-4 teams is better then the alternative as you look down all those teams below us. we have players coming back we have time to get his back rolling.

we know what the TEAM is capable of we saw it at 6-1 , goals are all still on the table.

Not to burst their bubble, but Dak's cap hit this year is actually $22.5 million. And they can continue to keep his cap hit manageable by converting his base salaries into up-front bonuses.

This is why it was important to get the deal with Dak done, since tagging him would have been dreadfully more expensive.

Jerry thinks he is worth that deal. That's what matters when it comes to that contract. I don't get a say in it and neither do any of you, unless you're in the inner circles of the Cowboys organisation. Simple as that. If Jerry didn't think Dak was worth his contract, he wouldn't grant that contract.

Exactly, and it's why I think us supporters being told the player salaries is stupid. Why is it our business as supporters to know their salary? I get that it impacts the cap, but why do we need to know? What other jobs tell strangers what a person is earning? Would these same people want to tell the world their salary? I wouldn't. Why? Exactly, and there are more important things than what another man makes. As you said, they wouldn't take a paycut just because someone that didn't like them told them to. Dak's employer agreed to pay Dak his wage, and that's that.

Is Dak a top 10 QB?

Of course he is. GMs, coaches and players unanimously believe so as well, as the offseason polls proved.

That means he’s worth the contract. It’s market value for a franchise QB getting paid in 2021. In a couple years it’ll look like a bargain.

It amazes me that some people can’t grasp SIMPLE concepts like this.

I'd take Dak compared to Wilson. Wilson had the luxury o the Legion Boom. Something Dak's not quite accustomed to yet. Our D is getting better, but it's not the 2013 Seahawks D.
