Seriously how does Kellen even allow him to get away with it. All it does is completely ruin the play. Romo was a master at stepping up in the pocket, Dak needs to start doing the same thing. I know he'll never be as good as an evader that Romo was but he's gotta stop dropping out of the play, drives me nuts.

Dak looks like he's got 20 lb ankle weights on when he moves.

It seems he is still feeling the effects of the "calf strain".

Honestly, I don't care that he's not running. But his footwork and movement in the pocket seems compromised and that sucks.

If it's something that can heal over the season, then we'll probably be alright. But if not, we don't have a legit shot of a deep post season run.

The poor OL play has given Dak the yips.

No.. He doesn’t know where to go with the ball against man to man coverage. He can’t quickly get rid of it.

Every team defends us this way. It has nothing to do with the OL.

He’s not seeing huge windows to throw into and he’s holding the ball longer and when he is pressured a lot of you are blaming the OL but that is not the cause it’s the effect.

Excellent point by the OP. If Dak can effectively step up in the pocket these edge rushers can no longer just tee off on our Ts and run around them....if they do they just rush past Dak and take themselves out of the play.

The other concern to me is the lack of blitz pickup by this group. I counted at least 5 times yesterday where Dak and Zack were calling out the blitz, but it didn't even matter. This is on both A) the O-line to pick up the blitzers. B) Dak for not utilizing his hot routes. Seems to be the philosophy of the Cowboys is that they are going to dictate their offense to the defense no matter what. If they have a long developing play, Dak (possibly with direction from KM) isn't altering that at all despite the fact the defense may be bringing more rushers than blockers available. Everything with this offense seems so correctable, and that is the frustrating part. It's obvious what the issues are, but the i'm guessing there are deeper issues why we arent adjusting well.

Why no rest Dak and see what 14 can do?
As soon as 14 starts messing up just put Dak in immediately.

We can beat WFT/Giants/Eagles with Rush

There were also multiple plays he back peddled as defenders were in pursuit and he got plays off. It hasn't all been bad. There has to be some lingering issues because he's not running well. We've seen better.

Teams are hiding their coverages until after the receiver in his helmet turns off - forcing Dak to make the appropriate calls and recognize coverages.

This is also why the run game is suffering. He's making the wrong checks in and out of running plays.

Delayed blitz's seem to really work against this team. That means the offensive line is having problems passing guys off. And it doesn't help that Dak struggles at throwing floaters.

You can't fix the problem if you can't identify the problem. Finding solutions is not Moore's strong suit. That requires an imagination. Something he doesn't have.
