Lol!!!
Just slide the 4-3 and keep him multiple....why handcuff him to one position.....not smart.
Do we even have the LBs for a 34 D?

imagine how hard it is to just draft player and expect them to be a clone of Parsosn..sorry that doesn't happen often..
With Dlaw and Gregory coming back, that's going to changeWhen he drops back there is almost zero pass rush
want in one hand, poop in the other and see which one fills up first..lolI still want another one.
I really like Parsons. I'd like to draft another one next year to replace LVE.
Imagine the chaos and destruction two of them would cause.
Switches to 3/4.. Still plays Nickel 80% of the time because defenses match up with offenses and offenses all run 3 wide all game.
Which is exactly why the whole 4-3/3-4 thing is over rated
A few *all time* great defenses used a pass rusher at OLB
2000 Ravens ran a defense that looked like this
RDE: Michael McCray
DT: Sam Adams
DT: Tony Siragusa
LDE: Rob Burnett
ROLB: Jamie Sharper
MLB: Ray Lewis
LOLB: Peter Boulware (DE at Florida State)
The 2007 Giants ran a defense that looked like this
RDE: Osi Umenyiora
DT: Fred Robbins
DT: Barry Cofield
LDE: Michael Strahan
ROLB: Kawika Mitchell
MLB: Antonio Pierce
LOLB: Mathias Kiwanuka (DE at Boston College)
And the 2013 Seahawks ran a defense that looked like this
RDE: Chris Clemons
DT: Tony McDaniel
DT: Brandon Mebane
LDE: Red Bryant
ROLB: KJ Wright
MLB: Bobby Wagner
LOLB: Bruce Irvin (DE at West Virginia)
There’s no reason to switch, we can play him at LB and still have him rush the passer the vast majority of times
Parsons as a full-time edge rusher will wear him down. He is a playmaker at LB too...a sack isn't the only way to make a big play. If you thought last night was great, he actually played most of the game at LB. He is too good all-around. Making him rush the passer every snap would be a waste of his overall ability. He is still a big threat to get sacks in his current hybrid role while also being a force as a LB too
disagree and even parsons disagrees hes been asked that in interviews. move him around same as usual.
NOT not if you dont have the rest of the pieces and Gregory and Tank are not 3-4 wide 9 or stand up types. Its why Nolan failed last year tried that would back off it until too late, I get MP is here now we have some new players but you have to have more then one player that fits a scheme..hes doing well enough in the 4-3
why change it?
odd fan thoughts and all wildly off base..let the coaches figure that out..MP can be as successful as 4-3 roving LB and pass rushing specialist as part time DE..
no need to change the defense..

I have poundered that about a month ago....but we don't have the personnel to run a 3-4....Osa can play DE on a 3-4. Lawrence maybe able to do, but a bit undersized. Can gallimore play the other DE? or NT? can hill play NT along with Watkins. and we don't have enough LBs to pull of a 3-4....losing Cox hurt a lot more than we think....and plus he is losing on learning.Parsons needs to be on that D line….all the time…
HUGE difference when he’s not up at the line wrecking havoc..
But the main thing is you need to account for Parsons, Osa/Gallimore, Tank, and Gregory to all play together and rush, with probably a big guy like Watkins in the middle over the nose of the center on standard/base downs. The Cowboys use a hybrid 3-4 now. Parsons stands up when the Cowboys rush him off the edge. That's why you see Carlos Watkins, Osa Odighizuwa, and Chauncey Golston lining up both inside and outside. The goal is to move Parsons around and make offenses account for him every single snap.

Lawrence. And Gregory will make a huge difference. Let him float like he’s doingParsons needs to be on that D line….all the time…
