4-5 weeks ago I would have laughed at this, but its become a legitimate debate again. Wentz is top 10 in nearly every category. You still get 1-2 plays that just leave you jaw dropped out of confusion on how that went wrong out of Wentz, but lately we are seeing that from Dak too.

Wentz seems to be playing better after getting out from the Philly stage and placed in a lesser Indy spotlight but if I am a GM I would never take him to run an offense simply because he is both injury prone and more importantly too much in his head at times to be counted on for consistency and to elevate the entire offense. I see him almost the same as Jared Goff as both share the same traits.

Wentz is winning games throwing for 100 passing yards and Dak is losing games throwing for 400 passing yards lol...Wentz is having a fine season but make no mistake Jonathan Taylor and that offensive line are a match made in heaven for that team. Taylor has become the best running back in the league and IMO, should be considered a MVP candidate.

Because its silly to even compare trading Carson Wentz to releasing Jaylon Smith lol.

I never once mentioned Smith in the least and agree that obviously nobody was offering anything for Smith as everyone knew he sucked, just like I think Indy got fleeced by trading what appears to be a 1st round pick for Wentz as he is not worth it in spite of being a QB. Personally I would never want Wentz to run an offense and at best Indy should have offered a 3rd....and that may be a stretch.

I'm not a fan but at the same time I got why they did it. The coach is familiar with him, it was a 2nd round pick and if Wentz played even decent it turned into a 1st....He's not the guy I'd have be my franchise QB but I understand why a desperate team like the Colts did it.

So because I very much enjoy the off-season and team building I am not a fan? Damn man your ability to disseminate information and twist it into some delusional self truth/opinion is world class.
No Because you enjoy team building more than your team being the 4th seed is what makes you a non fan of this team. If you followed the Jets for example. That would make sense.

Agreed, but this is the same GM that gave up multiple premium picks & players to move up to get Wentz in the draft, failed to develop him as a player, and then gets praised because he flipped him for a draft pick? I just dont get the praise for philly on the move. Overall they lost heavily in value with Wentz, and tried to salvage what they could for him. Meanwhile he has more success with his new team. Thats not the GM i want running my team, and Jerry would never live that down around here.

Everything is possibilities right now unless we are talking Cowboys/Washington this week. If you don't like a threads subject don't click on it. I just dont get the hate over the subject?

No the draft isn't jack spit right now , lets be clear the subject is useless I posted on purpose to say so..if you dont like responses that arent in agreement with you, well dont post pointless threads..

especially when i can dig up 2-3 already posted on the exact subject

we are all we all are of the trade and draft implications, but we are currently in season and playing football..

the draft doesnt matter at all right now....

I see, so nobody can like numerous aspects to a sports team but according to you they have to ignore the off-season in the middle of the season as looking forward is a no no and people have to live in the here and now based on your post.....and if they dare look forward they are not a true fan. Okay, good luck with that.

Oh believe me the Eagles GM is a clown in my opinion as he has been horrible with personnel moves.

You can look forward to it. Thats fine. But to say you CANT WAIT for it makes no sense lol. Thats all I am saying. The last thing on my mind when the playoffs are coming up is the draft. I know how long and boring the off-season is with no football. The last thing I am thinking about is the draft in freaking December.

I agree with Wentz surrounding cast, but that's no more fair than people who are Dak critics because of the offensive weapons around him. You look at the full body of work and I would still rather take Dak, but looking just at 2021 its been a tale of two seasons for both players, and the debate is fair.

So Philly gives up quite a bit to trade up to pick Wentz, gets rid of him after paying him a bunch of money, then gets kind of lucky when they trade him and he goes somewhere else and plays well (meaning they couldn't properly develop him) and their conditional pick becomes a first, and now OP is praising their front office over Dallas' who just drafted Parsons (after gaining an extra pick), Ceedee and Trevon Diggs last year, and a whole host of other great late round picks that have developed into starters? K.

Yeah it really makes no sense. So they traded two 1st rounders, 3rd rounder and a 2nd round pick just to get a late 1st rounder for him? This fanbase is still mad for him passing up TJ Watt for Taco...imagine if he did that trade lol?

Its probably unfair but those same critics would knock Dak for winning a game throwing for 150 passing yards lol.

Oh no doubt, and ill call them out as well. Dak with this offense at full strength was nearly unstoppable to start this season, struggled as the Oline has slipped and lost his two best receivers. Happens with all QBs. Even people thought Brady was done his last couple years in NE, now he is on an offense with weapons and he one of the best again. QBs need some support, even the greats.

We cannot get anything for players like Jaylon Smith when his tenure with the Pokes is over but the Eagles find a way to get a number one pick for an injured and questioning his abilities QB who was essentially run out of Philadelphia.

Jerruh, please hire a real GM because you and Stephen are just not cutting it. Your efforts during the past 25 years has been abysmal.

The Eagles are so awesome that we are talking about their draft with 5 weeks of the regular season left. Yeah, ok.

Answer....they are not well ran.

They sold their souls for a superbowl run and got lucky that Nick Foles got hot at the right time. They risked it all for Wentz, lost a ton of draft capital, then made some smart moves (the Alshon Jeffrey trade for example), but moves that cost them in the long run. They are still paying for it today, and continue to pay for it.
