I hope Kellan Moore watched NE run outside vs Buffalo!

I agree. Early on we had fans, talking about the O line, saying if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. It was broke. Many fans just did not see it!

They couldn't see it because our WRs were covering the o-line's warts.

As other posters have stated our current o-line is not cohesive enough to execute stretch run plays. There is something with this line, and with some of the team.

I have some suspicions based on some media stuff, but I am loathe to even think about it. Some thing is wrong with this team right now, and they should be rolling over the competition.

NE, ran inside and outside vs Buffalo, even when Buffalo, with 9-10 man fronts , knew NE was going to run.
Kellan, it’s not always about speed when running outside! You need well designed plays, and players executing their blocks. Watching NE’s runs outside: they often designed plays where their blockers had 2 on 1 blocks, or really good angles to make their blocks.

After watching NE beat Buffalo, while only throwing 3 passes, this should demonstrate to any knowledgeable fan how important coaching is! Belicheat was masterful in this game.
If our HC and Coordinators step, with the talent we have, and the talent we have coming back, we should make a serious run to the Super Bowl this year!

Man, that run blocking tonight by the Pats was just a thing of beauty to watch.

I wish we could run the ball like that:(

The main problem, in my opinion, by far, is the O line!

What you said is true, but BB’s strategy wouldn’t have worked had Buffalo’s offense not been so inept. Of course part of that is due to NE’s defense, but Buffalo just didn’t perform. They’ve been in a worse funk than we have.

As far as our offense goes, fix the Oline run blocking and it’ll look like it did early in the year. You can’t run effectively if the blocking is garbage and it has been. The Oline has been getting dominated. That can’t continue.

Pats had 11 first downs, 14 points and 241 total yards.

Hey, let's copy what they do!

Surprisingly, 12 games into the season our O line is our weak link.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Try Collins at LG and put Steele back at RT !

That shouldn't be considered a desperate measure. It seems obvious to most of us. I hope the coaches see it the same way though.

People are being ridiculous about our Oline right now.

When Tyron Smith plays it’s one of the better Olines in football still.

Our offensive coordinator needs to help them out and work on our run schemes.
The OL isn’t the problem on these specific kind of plays. The tight ends on the other hand it seems can’t block to save their lives. I think it’s almost like 10 plays this year thay would have broken big and or gone for 6 had the TE blocked or even touched the guy in front of him.

Lol…

We were averaging 6 YPC and 5 YPC on first down, including in between the tackles, particularly behind Martin, well into mid-October and people are blaming the blocking and that our OL is not good…. Those numbers are completely ridiculous.

Do people not realize they play in the NE and it’s winter time, where it’s freezing and snowing and WINDY? Do you know how hard it is to rely on a passing game in such situations?

But even then, Mac Jones attempted THREE passes the whole game. Count on BB to do something so bizarre…

Our offensive line isn't good enough to be able to rely on them like the Patriots did tonight. I don’t know what happened since September, but if the cowboys run it 43 times on Sunday, they’ll probably gain 86 total yards (unless Pollard breaks a big one). The line is borderline bad.

Our first game in October was against the Panthers, where we murdered the Panthers front. Zeke and Pollard combined for over 200 yards, at 7 YPC and 6 YPC respectively. Zeke even had a 47 yarder.

Then we played the Giants and murdered them again netting over 180 yards on the ground.

The Patriots played us decently, though we still had respectable numbers against that defense.

The Vikings was respectable again.

Denver, which starter the trend of losses, we basically threw ourselves out of the game by the first half. You can’t blame the run game, because the second series that got us to the Denver 20 had 4 rushes, one of them a scramble by Dak, meaning 3 designed rushes and one of them was a 5 yards rush up the MIDDLE by Zeke and an 8 yards by TP up the MIDDLE. The next series Zeke rushed for 11 yards up the middle and 8 yards up the middle. Pollard runs outside for 2 and they decide to throw on 3rd and 1 and it’s incomplete.

And so on…

The point being, it’s simply not true that it’s because we don’t ‘run outside’ or our run blocking sucks or has sucked since September.

And again, we facing 8 in the box constantly, the only game that seemed different were the Chargers who play heavy zone and the Saints as well. The latter though have a really good run defense, unlike the Chargers. The Saints basically didn’t need to bring another man in the box it seems to stop the run.

yes nice but you have to have an OL and a defense that you know can hold a team to less then 10 points. seriously its team concept. You cant run like that because it leads to a lot pf punts and low scoring unless the defense can be trusted to shut down an offense which BTW also take weather environment to HELP slow down the other offense from opening it up..

they dont play like that all 17 games , was just what they came up with last night given wind and cold..The bills were in it and NE won but it wasnt dominant outside the run game..the bills had myriad of chances to win that game and missed by few inches on two drives.

be real i watched it..NE was not in full control of that game and could have went the other way..that why that doesnt work all the time but yes MOORE and that OL need to be much better we need to eb more balanced but 3 NFL throws that doent work many games..
