The one attribute that I think Taylor has over Micah is Taylor was nasty. He was a bully. He would physically intimidate opponents. I don't see that same thing from Micah.
Yeah times have changed. Everybody is nice and gets along now.

Parson looked pretty nasty getting after these QB. Randy White was a nice guy off the field, not a man you jacked with on the field.

I never got to see LT play. His career was about over when I began watching football.

If I had to compare him to a player it will be Troy Polamalu.

Now is there skill set the same? Absolutely not.

I’ve just never seen a player as dynamic as Polamalu and how he could line up anywhere on the field on any given play.
they were both great. Polumalu perhaps the best saftey who ever played the game (I am sure there are arguments to be had)... but I watched LT and in every single offensive play, no matter what you were doing even on 3rd and inches....took more than two players to stop him or slow him down, you had to know where he was. he could chase down RBs and WRs from behind,
his time was when 3-4 really took off in the NFL, with LT rushing from his standup outside spot. and he had a mean streak, that just wanted to kill the QB and anyone in his path.....

He is still young. He might get that mean streak in him as he gets more comfortable being the leader on this team. Too early to tell. Parsons floor is a prime James Harrison. His ceiling....well there is no ceiling for him. I guess outer space but even that's not doing him justice.
Hope not
LT’s rage came from the coke before the game

Parsons rookie year will be better than LT rookie year
Way to early to compare careers but first year it’s no question

Just when I never thought I'd see another one like him during my lifetime, along came Micah and is the closest comparison I've ever witnessed.

All those before LT that held the position of LB were on a secondary tier.
Imho Micah's future "potential" is on a trajectory to reach LT level greatness.
If you saw LT play then ya know nobody not even Deacon Jones or Dick Butkus made the impact this guy did from day one. Cat was a total monster, it was like he was unleashed on the NFL from the pits of hell.

Parsons is doing a great LT impersonation but without the......I will tear your (bad word) head off,,,,,that LT brought. Kind of wish Micah wasn't a nice guy.

LT was All Pro from day one, he had a 20 sack season, many times 15ish, he was simply on a whole other level, something we hadn't seen before.

In order to really get the comparision....

Butkus takes a backseat to no one...he was the greatest lb who ever lived...imo

Mean streak is cool
But a winning culture is what Micah can bring

As I said this mean streak is a bit over played. I met Randy White he was very nice guy, but again on the football field he was intense and not a man you would jack with. I want football field warriors not idiots walking the street after the game creating problems.

Have you seen LT play?! Dude was the most violent, heavy handed LBer to ever play the game. Yah… he is stronger. Can Micah get there? Maybe. But he is not stronger at this point in his career. Faster? Better bend? Yes

Dude, saw him play at North Carolina, ok?

You don't know about who is the strongest, so why act like ya do? Being reckless and mean has nothing to do with strength.

I've watched both and you can compare them using statistical metrics, but the eras were completely different. This early in Parsons career I have a hard time justifying that one is better than the other.
LT made offenses change how they defended him. Today's offenses are more dominant. Maybe one day Parsons will forced offenses to change.
Every LT owes part of their paycheck to LT. ; )

Lol… you don’t need to try and make it personal.

L.T. is the greatest LBer to play the game. And yes— he plays with more violence and stronger hands than Micah. Sorry if that upsets you… and don’t act like you “know” Micah is somehow stronger lol.

Just watch L.T.’s highlights. Then watch Micah’s. Both make amazing plays. But LT is literally planting OL on their butts when he rushes and punches them. Micah has an amazing blend of speed, power, and hand moves— but as far as raw power/strength? LT takes the cake

Diff position but yeah Butkus was a monster.

A guy who gets overlooked imo when it comes to sacks is Deacon Jones -

Sack numbers from 1964-1970...

22-19-18-21-22-15-12. And this is all in 14 game seasons and when QB weren't chucking the ball all over the place.

I watched LT play many times at both NC and the Giants, he did nothing that has me thinking he is stronger than Parsons, yep, more violent, more nasty, more intense, did I mention nasty? but there is no reasons at all to think LT was physically stronger than Parsons, and I bet Parsons would own LT in the weight room.
