Mike's guarantee

When Mike made the guarantee last week, I was nervous because I don't think I've seen us back up a guarantee like what Mike did. I remember in 2011 where Rob Ryan trash talked the Eagles in the off-season, and we proceeded to get pasted badly the first game we played. The fact that Mike made the guarantee AND the team backed it up is incredible to me. I know it seems minor, but it's significant to me because it shows that this team is talented enough to back up trash talk.

Washington had everything on the line in this game and McCarthy gave them bulletin board material on top of it. And they still came out flat and only had a sliver of a chance in the final minutes because of Dallas' own mistakes.

This is a good sign no matter what spin you might put on it. The Cowboys basically told another professional team in desperation mode "we're better than you" and then went out and proved it.

I will say it worked out a lot better than Nick Sirianni's "Beat Dallas" t-shirt.

Yup, there were threads not long ago about how the WFT we're going to take over our division from us. Mike made a guarantee that I think was widely panned on here for the concerns I had. The team responded with a WIN and OWNED Heineke who we made look like a high schooler against pros.
