What are they going to do, put a crappy product like preseason games out there?

They stated earlier that game would be forfeited but I don't think they anticipated this many teams being affected and one forfeited game is that home team owner's loss of 12.5% of his gate/concession revenue for the year and money lost for the people that work the games.

Be surprising since it will push everything back including the SB and the NFL is all about the dollar. They discussed this yesterday on many sports radio stations.
It is a business after all

So the teams that were missing coaches and players earlier this year and had to play through it — just get to suck it up?

Pathetic. The NFL made its policy and now they need to live with it. If they want to make new policy— then apply it for the playoffs— not during the reg season where there is competitive advantage given to teams who get to postpone their game
It's pretty common for the NFL to change their policies based on which teams are in involved and how much money they can make. An NFL "policy" is like a suggested guideline for these clowns to manipulate things at will. I agree with you, it's pathetic.

you can bet your bottom dollar no such accommodations would have been made for the boys in blue
I disagree, the Cowboys have star players and the NFL wants their stars seen.

As a fan, I want as competitive a game as they can manage and the regular injuries take enough of a toll.

Nothing is being pushed back. They will play Monday and Tuesday and then have a short week to prepare for Sunday’s game.

What the NFL did early on was a push the players toward getting vaccinated and the game has changed now. I do not think they were ever serious about forcing a forfeiture unless a team was way out of compliance.

What happened to this?

"Absent medical considerations," seems pretty clear to me.

Also from the same memo:

"If a club cannot play due to a Covid spike in vaccinated individuals, we will attempt to minimize the competitive and economic burden on both participating teams."

They were stupid not to anticipate, but nobody accused them of being smart.

First off I am shocked the nfl wouldn’t forfeit these games. I don’t think there’s a buck they’d ever pass up. Especially when it comes to matters of health. Just remember to salute those tax payer funded fly overs this weekend.

Not now but yesterday there was discussion about it. At least that is what they were saying on sports radio.

Thousands upon thousands of small businesses were destroyed when their doors were illegally forced to be closed. Why should the NFL and it’s billionaire owners be exempt?

As it shouldn't be pushed back, the Rams, Browns, and WFT really have no room to complain about having to play on a shorter week, after the NFL already postponed games for them. Not fair to the teams they have to play on the following Sunday.

Do we know where the games will be televised if at all?
