It's bizarre that the Lions beat the Cardinals

The worst team in the league beat one of the best. Or maybe the Lions are just starting to get good. I may go back and watch that game. For a while the Cards were looking like the best team in the league. I'm sure they're still a big playoff threat. I'd bet the underestimated the Lions.

Any given Sunday.

I still can’t believe we lost against the Broncos and Raiders.
Every team deserves a Broncos game. Happens.

The Raider game irks me because it was stolen from us, and we still had a shot and blew it.

Watch and see if that isn't why the GB is at Lambeau instead of Arlington.

Just a small difference.

ebbs and lfows of a season.....its not just us.

Detroit lost 5 games within a score, three of them less than 3 points....so they had been close multiple times...just couldn't pull it off. I am sure perhaps AZ overlooked them, much like we may have overlooked Denver

The Lions have actually played pretty competitively in a good portion of their games. What’s even more impressive is they were missing their starting RB and TE against the Cardinals.

What’s even more bizarre is how hard the NFL is to predict. EVERY GAME is win-able and lose-able.

All fan bases look at the schedule and count wins- which you can’t do in the NFL. The talent margin between the lions and every good team in the NFL is razor thin. If you are not prepared and motivated every week you can get beat.

Detroit is a team that lacks talent, but they play hard.

They remind me of the Dolphins when Campbell was there, but he's more seasoned and working under Payton did him well IMO.

Detroit came out aggressive and hit the Cardinals in the mouth early and often. I don't think Cardinals were 100% focused and it showed.

They are becoming a team that I won't root for, but I hope does well as long as Lt. Dan is there

It's a game of match ups...some teams just match up well against certain teams.

Which is why I tend not to do that at the start of the season. I base my prediction on the talent of this team. I went into the season feeling this was a 10 to 12 game winning team. Over the course of the season I feel there are games you win that maybe you should have lost and some loses that you should have won. Seeing a bad team jump up and bite a very good team is not a shock, we see it damn near every year.

Yeah the Lions don't have an abundance of talent but they play hard and I think Dan Campbell resonates with the players. And they definitely have some legit NFL talent on that team, Goff isn't great but he's an NFL starter imo. He has the arm talent guys like Heinicke don't have. Hockenson is one of the better TE's in the NFL and from what I remember their talent in the trenches isn't God awful either. They play somewhat smart football, they're just losing to better teams for the most part on a weekly basis. Won't be shocked if they started winning a few games here and there.

Everyone thinks that our remaining games are a foregone conclusion but in reality we could lose them all if not careful.

I called the Lions beating the Cardinals.
The Lions, even though they had only one win, play with intensity.
The Cardinals were out of sync because Kyler Murray has been injured.
Whenever you're out for intended time, you have to get back in sync with your receivers.
We've seen that even with Dak. If what many believe about Dak is true, he's in a slump and has to work his way out of it. Part of that slump is he's out of rhythm with his receivers - or they are out of rhythm with him.
Regardless, they aren't working together. And nothing compensates for that but time and experience.
Furthermore, just like Dak, I think teams are discovering Murray's tendencies. This happens especially near the end of the season as teams accumulate more tape on a quarterback.
The recipe to defeat Murray. When you get your hands on him, hit him HARD!
The shots on him are taking their toil (physics rules and a bigger man is always going to beat a smaller man all else being equal), causing him to slow down, rush himself and making him weary of the big hit.
I like Murray, but I don't believe he's built for the long haul. He needs to get the ball out quick and get out of harm's way.
We'll see how he does when/if the Cardinals make the playoffs. We'll likely see it in two weeks.

The lions will be in the playoffs next season.

Been beating this drum for years, half this board still thinks some games are locks. I see them as trap games, looking past an opponent is the worst thing a team can do.

I think we’re a bad matchup for AZ.

Arizona is weird. I watched them a lot this year because I had Murray and Hopkins on my fantasy team. Aside from two games, those two were never on the same page. I mean Hopkins wasn't even getting targets. They definitely tried to be balanced and run the ball with Conner, who I had for a while as well. He was chewing up ground between the twenties but in the red zone it was either Murray running it in or throwing to whomever. There was not go to receiver/TE.

We should be able to beat them but need to watch out for Ertz, he seems to be Kyler's new pet cat and has been playing well.

If Dallas played as bad against the Luons like the cards, we would not here the end of it around here and from the media smh

I feel like we can run all over them and Parsons will not let Kyler run around all day buying time for someone to come open.
