It's bizarre that the Lions beat the Cardinals

Been beating this drum for years, half this board still thinks some games are locks. I see them as trap games, looking past an opponent is the worst thing a team can do.

I don’t believe in so-called trap games, particularly at this point in the season when you’re battling for playoff position. Early in the season? Maybe. Now? Absolutely not. A team can get beat by a lesser team at this point in the season but I don’t think it’ll be because they looked past a team. It’ll be because the other team just played and executed better.

Every player in the NFL makes nice money to play football. There are no Alabama vs The Citadel games, regardless of records.

If you're "off" that day, there's a good chance you'll lose.

The worst team in the league beat one of the best. Or maybe the Lions are just starting to get good. I may go back and watch that game. For a while the Cards were looking like the best team in the league. I'm sure they're still a big playoff threat. I'd bet the underestimated the Lions.

I would have bet me estate on the Cards.
This season, such as Saints 6, Bucs 0, is a bit much, padre.

Arizona is weird. I watched them a lot this year because I had Murray and Hopkins on my fantasy team. Aside from two games, those two were never on the same page. I mean Hopkins wasn't even getting targets. They definitely tried to be balanced and run the ball with Conner, who I had for a while as well. He was chewing up ground between the twenties but in the red zone it was either Murray running it in or throwing to whomever. There was not go to receiver/TE.

We should be able to beat them but need to watch out for Ertz, he seems to be Kyler's new pet cat and has been playing well.

It seems that Ertz, with the scenery change is doing well, TEs and our defense dont go well and so we need to watch out.

It isn't shocking considering they went up against 2X Pro Bowler Jared Goff.

The stranger part is Arizona just got beat by the Rams the week before, so you'd think they would have been extra focused on taking care of (what was) the worst team in the NFL and get back on track.

The Cardinals are in crisis mode now and it bodes well for the Cowboys to try and at least maintain the 2 seed.

One of the knocks on Kingsbury Cards have been that they play great in September, October and tend to fade in November and December.
They've lost last two games. They may end up losing to Indy this week and to us next week.

Lions are garbage, no doubt, but probably not as bad as their record. They should have at least 2 more wins. That would make them your typical bad team. As we all know, they get occasional wins. They actually came back against the Ravens. It took a record breaking 66 yard FG to beat the Lions.

The top and bottom NFL teams aren't that far apart, if that were true we'd have some team lose every game every year, or have several teams win only 2 or 3 wins. Last year half the league's teams were .500 or above, several more were just under that.

Sprinkle in a few key injuries and a "top" team loses to a Lions-type team.

Of course you have teams like the Jets who flop every year, but (and PLEASE don't take this as a statement of fact) who knows, for some reason they may not have the burning desire to win SBs...

You're right. There can be teams that just want to make money. Winning a SB is not their first priority.

I don't think so. Murray is a midget. Hem in him and make him throw over the line and you render him ineffective. And every time he runs, smack him. Very simple way to beat running QB's who have holes in their game.

I would say a lot of that can be attributed to Murray getting dinged up, and DC's finally letting go of their stubborn little schemes and playing Murray correctly. This isn't rocket science, but DC's are a stubborn sort and want to stay w/ the scheme they know.
