Dak in top 10 passer rating! (Week 15)

So we're going off one game now to try to draw parallels between Dak and other QB's in the league now? Or is this thread an attempt to paint Goff and Huntley as better?? :lmao:

This should show just how dumb using passer rating or QBR is.

So we go with what exactly when determining QB greatness? Well?
Personally, I'd go with a mixture of stats, success, individual accomplishment, a hint of team accomplishments (But that's not all on the QB, that's why I wouldn't factor it in so much) and the eye test.

Should we really think Deshaun Watson is the 2nd best QB of all time? Because that's what it would be if you go by passer rating.

1 wildcard playoff win in 6 seasons certainly isn't good enough, so the Daktards have to reach for something.

That only counts when you're trying to prop up Dak. It doesn't work that way for anyone else. Remember that year when Winston finished #1 overall? Case in point...

And the haters have to cry about it.....keep crying!

Not bad!

I think if that is properly adjusted for time (the only rational way to measure this stuff) Dak still makes top 35 all-time...which is very good!

Young moves way up.
Rodgers, Wilson and Brees are still up there.
A whole lot of people fill in between that 6-7 range and what is currently below them

I think Romo drops to about 14th or so, adjusted.

That fact that his average year is nearly a decade before Dak, yet they have similar ratings tells you he would not drop as much. Probably add 7-9 points (so 105ish in 2021) to his average and 2-3 to Daks (so 100 in 2021)....to adjust to the current time.

Goff has always been better than Dak. But don't take my word for it, look at post as early as back in 2018. There literally dozen of post wishing we had Goff instead of Dak.

Dak would have easily been in the upper passer ratings if CeeDee had caught those 3 dropped passes that hit him square in his hands. The same goes for Gallup’s dropped pass.

You know I don't like Dak but yes CeeDee need to stop dropping passes. But on the other hand, he catches some of Dak really bad throw so it kind of balance itself out. With that said, it hard for a receiver to get in rhythm with dak being inconsistent.

As such I can't say for sure if it is their fault or Dak. Need someone like Stafford or even Goff to get a better larger sample size. Kupp is leading all receiver in the NFL, but I have said it before, Kupp doesn't make those contested/tough to catch throw that Cooper, Lamb, and Gallup makes. So their stats would be a lot better with a better QB throwing them the ball.
