Anyone else thinking this last night? When Turner has gotten his opportunities, he has produced well. Good hands and has some speed and moves. I like him. With him as our #3 next year I am not so worried about losing Gallup.

Cant keep them all.

To me we need to keep this defense together. Gregory and Kearse need to be the top 2 priorities in the offseason.

Gallup is gone and I would let Shultz walk if he wants big money.

3 TD's on 16 targets is pretty good. At think he is at least relevant as far as a #4 spot going into next season

Turner and Gallup are no where close to the same Wr. Yes, Turner has some moves and speed but Gallup is our best jump ball receiver and always gets both feet inbounds.

*Edit - Gallup + Schultz need to walk, we have to resign our defense. 100% agree with Kearse and Gregory.

I am comfortable with Cedric and Turner as the 3 and 4 next year. It will be sad to see Gallup go! It is important for Dak to have a guy like Shultz - that is going to be a tough one.

You can go find a guy like Shultz they are available in FA and the draft. Dak made Shultz, not the other way around. I like Shultz, but he is not worth the money he will get offered.

It's one game and he has not shown that he has the toe tap/sideline catch ability that only Gallup has on this team. They are very different receivers. To me Turner is more like a Lamb replacement not Gallup.

This isnt about Turner being as good or better than Gallup. That is simply not the case.

As far as Turner being a Lamb replacement, that is about as laughable as it gets.

Turner is a big run-after-catch WR. Gallup can beat press coverage and make contested acrobatic catches. They are very different. I think you'd be setting the team up for failure if you expect anything more than a 4th WR from Turner next season. I do agree Gallup is gone. Ideally I think you need draft a WR in the first 3 rounds to replace Gallup. Hopefully someone with speed.

Agreed on Gregory and Kearse being the priorities in free agency.

And Turner is even easier to find.

We can easily replace Gallup in the draft.
Good receivers are a dime a dozen now as more college teams are running spread offenses.
Besides, we're good at receiver.
Continue to build the defense and the offensive line.
Draft a running back (in the third round or lower) because Zeke is deteriorating and costs too much.
We need to play ball-control offense but build as if we can win a shoot out. Then play defense the same way we're doing this year.

Turner could never be an X in this offense but this thread is good comedy on a Monday morning.

They’ll either move Lamb to the X or draft / sign someone to play Gallup’s role if he is gone.

The good comedy is watching you try to have a conversation about football.

I think a combination of Ced Wilson and Turner will have to combine to replace Gallup. I'd be shocked if Gallup returns.

I expect an uptick in targets for Cee Dee next year, slowly inching towards WR1 targets. But if Coop is here - which I expect, we will be fine without Gallup.
