There’s pass rushers who do what Watt is doing every year. Parsons on the other hand, never seen before. If he wasn’t a rookie, this wouldn’t even be a debate. Diggs and Paraons should be the clear-cut front runners.

Vegas has a pulse on how the voting will play out.

Your T.J. Watt hype is cute. I guess team/defensive unit success doesn’t count anymore. It certainly counted in 2008!

The standards magically changed from 2008 to 2021 but the results look like they’ll stay the same: a Steeler beating out a Cowboy for the award.

DeMarcus Ware had 20 sacks and a Pittsburgh Steeler who played the exact same position and with 4 fewer sacks won the award easily.

Harrison was the standout player on a 12-4 team that led the league in fewest points given up. And by the way, they went on to win the Super Bowl the same year we got embarrassed by Philly in a win or go home Game 16. Ware had sacks in every game that season except that most important one. What does that say about impact? That kind of stuff sticks with voters, you know? But hey, at least your pre-whine game is strong. We're victims! All the world hates us! Even Vegas hates us now! It'd be kinda humorous if it wasn't an obvious excuse for fear of an undesirable result.

You hear that? I think it's the sound of your bottom lip quivering.

Had, to bro! Lol.

He’s the only player we have that can run with that little squirt.

Next 2 weeks he will probably get that assignment...he has had it before and sacked them. Crazy thing is Parson will be a huge reason Diggs gets more INT's and if he breaks the record there is no way Diggs shouldn't get it.

He needs Quinn to play him going forward from here on out. No more of that pure drop-back linebacker stuff like we saw against the Giants. It's a waste of the player and his abilities to limit him like that.

We are playing for the #1 seed and not playing to purely win DPOY. If they happen to coincide then so be it.
Micah maybe spying on Cardinal QB this week. But who knows what Quinn has up his sleeve.

I am kinda feeling this way about Diggs and INT's its a long shot but if he gets there how does he not get it for breaking an unbreakble record.

He would have to pass Night Train Lane to have a chance, IMO. 11 has been done in Cowboys history. He'd have to stand out with his numbers league-wide to have a shot.

Im fine with either getting it. What we’re seeing from Diggs may never be replicated for another 40 years, and we haven’t seen a rookie this amazing since Moss.

In the 4 games that Parsons played more snaps at DE than at LB, the Cowboys lost 2 of 4 games...

And what?

Are you trying to make a direct correlation?

This should be good...

Right but thats what I was saying he is not staying pat at where he is at either, He has a shot and with Murray and Hurts up next ...if that pass rush continues its a good shot.

That’s all well and good... now compare the 2021 Cowboys and our defense to the 2021 Steelers and their D.

If you apply the same exact standards that got Harrison the award in 2008, the 2021 award should go to Parsons or Diggs.

Yes, it is fear of an undesirable result. I called this months ago. “They won’t give the award to a Dallas Cowboy unless they absolutely have to.” Now they 2008 standards have been flushed down the toilet because those standards would mean a Cowboy wins it this year... surprise, surprise.

Spying him against such a mobile quarterback like Murray is an excellent point. That might be, in fact, the better 'team play' for Parsons this week.

Diggs basically shut out/down, an elite wr TWICE! Who else has done that this year? Hard enuff to do 1 time, but twice? He gets my vote for the award. Micah will get the droy award. Could he also get the MVP award? Just an idea.

You all say this as if Watt is just going to stand pat with what he has now. If Watt gets over 20 and is the only player in the league over 20, how do you not give it to him?
DeMarcus Ware had 20 sacks in 2008, most in the NFL.

James Harrison beat him out easily.

“TEAM SUCCESS”, they said. They’re not saying that anymore. Must’ve just been a 2008 thing... gee, I wonder why!

I'd feel more confident if he had Wentz coming up, lol. I don't think he'll pick off Murray.

Nice man. Thanks for posting this.

It’s basically a 2 man race and a toss up at that.

I know what the oddsmakers say, but I just don’t see Micah getting a majority of votes for DPOY from the sports writers unless he turns in two very, very special games to end the season. I’m not saying he isn’t deserving, I just don’t think he’ll get the votes, especially since he’ll easily win DROY.

My prediction: He’ll need to get within 1.5-2 sacks of Watt to have any chance unless he somehow manages to grab a couple of interceptions, both of which are very unlikely.

I’d love to be wrong.

Probably the next 2 weeks, to be honest.

Yeah. I'm not sure how they played Hurts the first time, but the Eagles look like a completely different offense from the one we faced in week 3. Siriani finally listened to what the fans were screaming for him to do and ran the ball. They've been a different team since.

There are 2 reasons Micah wouldn't win.

1. Trevon Diggs stealing votes
2. His rookie status

He should win but the NFL isn't always fair in regard to these awards.
