Bama is BY FAR the most overrated team in the country.
I watched them play Arkansas, Auburn and TAMU.
That QB and WR was duds in those games for 3 quarters.
Went up tempo a bit and got going.
Bama has a ton of talent but they are not nearly as good on defense as they have been and the offenses is super inconsistent.

Cincy has arguably the best DB group in college football.
This should be fairly low scoring through 3 quarters but I think Cincy wins it.

None. Bama is basically the Cowboys before the salary cap. Not good for football if they win every year. I'm already sick of them.

College football has never been more popular. Bama is the Bulls of 90's, Celtics of the 60's, and Tiger Woods in the 2000's. Its sheer dominance and excellence in motion. Sorry thats an issue for you, and its sad you would like to see inferior teams compete for titles.

As I've been saying, the SEC title game is basically the national championship game, though I expect UGA to win this time.

every year i hope for better semi final games but it keeps getting worse,imo they should not expand the playoffs because nobody will watch them.

All you will be doing adding more teams is seeing more blowouts.

The games were pretty terrible. Neither one was a contest. Cincy and Michigan may as well have stayed home.

Cincy actually put up a bigger fight then I expected. Certainly a better performance than Michigan put up. Down 17-6 in the 4th is not bad.

I honestly think they should be proud of their effort. They really threw everything they could at Alabama. In the end though they didn’t have enough horses to win enough individual matchups.

I give up…let’s just have the SEC championship game be the national championship game every year and the rest of the teams can play for nice consolation prizes and bowls

It wasn’t surprising, look at the number of 4 and 5 stars and Bama has some on the bench waiting their turn. Add to this the largest coaching staff in all of football and getting prepared for the big games, which are just part of the experience, is a hell of a lot easier.

UC had more qualified eyes looking at their game films than they have ever experienced and they had weeks and a taskmaster in Saban leaving no details uncovered.

You run the ball 10 straight times down the field and then an easy pass for a TD to open the game, you suck the spirit out of a team far more fired up to play in that game than a team expecting to be there.

The rich just keep getting richer and the new transfer rules favor the better and more storied programs.

I felt for those UC fans but they should be very proud of their team, they showed up which is better than I can say for Michigan.

Yeah. They didn't embarrass themselves against a juggernaut.

When they came up short all those times in the RedZone, I knew it was over though....starting with their nice opening drive that only resulted in 3 points.

Should be a heckuva final

I think if the Rose Bowl today (Utah vs Ohio St) was part of the playoff, more would watch it...for example.
I know I would. I'm not even watching it right now, but I would be if the winner advanced.

Same with Okie St and Notre Dame.
I didn't even watch that game, but I absolutely for sure would have if it was part of the playoff.

I think a lot of their downfall was coaching-related. They didn't really take any shots downfield and kept running the ball even when it was clear they needed to wake up. Their QB had more batted pass attempts than I think I have ever seen. Everything they tried in the passing game was short. 10/15 completions were for 7 yards or less.

They didn't look like they deserved to be there.

So next season Cincy once again goes undefeated vs that weak schedule, do they get another shot? Let's say they do and get wacked by Georgia this time 42-10, so the following season Cincy once again.........when does common sense come into play here.

OSU under urban Myer used to go to GA and FL for defensive talent. That pipeline is pretty much closed and it shows in their defense.

When ND played Cincy in early Oct they had injuries to that offensive line so guys playing out of position and it didn't work. ND beats Cincy once they fixed the line.

Saban won two NCs when given a do-over against teams who beat him. Tonight he learned what it feels like to be on the other side of a do-over.

If Bama had their wide receivers and they played Georgia next week they beat them and with Meechie and Williams tonight they beat them.

I enjoyed the National Championship byline ... Battle between the walk-on QB vs the Heisman QB...

I watched the game on ESPN alternate channel with their "Skycast" presentation. That was better, for the most part than the traditional presentation. I enjoy watch the play from behind the QB. I wish that the NFL would wake up and give fans that viewing option.
