Should have never drafted a running back that high. He gave us 3-4 good years and it should be time to move on. But you can’t because you used a top 5 draft pick. So we resign a guy who had been the best or very least one of the best running backs. Now his contract and diminishing speed and explosiveness are a anchor around this teams neck.

They ripped off the band-aid with Jaylon. Correcting the Zeke issue will be infinitely more painful.

Draft a running back almost every year in rounds 3-5. Get 3-4 good years out of them and move on to the next. Draft the LT, QB, CB, DE in the 1st and 2nd rounds. Those guys can stick around for the second and third contracts.

Zeke is a bruiser. You have to run a bruiser at least 22 times a game for them to be effective. I would not have drafted Zeke, but Zeke is not done. He's just not getting his proper touches.

One of the runs he had, I swear I thought it was Pollard. There was a lot of burst and speed. And of course, it was called back due to a penalty.

Yeah, he had a couple. No idea what Moore's game-plan was but the thing you have to consider is that when we play in the playoffs, especially now we're going to need to run the ball. We cannot. This line is pretty mediocre as well. The entire offense looks sloppy.

Zeke just isn’t healthy.

He’s not going to live up to that contract, but he’s not as bad as he’s showing right now. Earlier this year he was downright fantastic— still a top 10 guy for sure at that point.

My issue is that he clearly should not be the guy right now, but for whatever reason he is.

the man is hurt but the coaches would not sit him to get well. So now we have a peg leg runner to match our kicker.

It's not an excuse for either. Both are paid at the top of their respective positions. Yet, neither one of them are able to succeed without without everyone around them playing great.

The oline has had it's struggles. But elite players can overcome those struggles. That's why they are paid so much. Dak and Zeke are no better than average players at this point. I would say Zeke is actually below average.
