Before you blame Dak

How would that look if we were in a real division?
Can only assess the division we are in. New England has FEASTED on a terrible division for a quarter of a century. But they have also gone to and won more Super Bowls than anyone else over that time. So it is what it is.

Why are you assuming a win next week? We could basically bench a lot of our starters. And if that happens, that game is just a random toss up.
maybe. It seems very unlikely that we can move up in the seeding. It's possible, but the Rams and Cards have to lose or Rams and Bucs lose or all 3 lose and we win. I can see the Rams losing to the 9ers, but the Cards losing to the Seahawks? Not likely. The problem is that we play Saturday night ahead of all the other games.

You proved my point, again. That even the experts are wrong. Dak also isn’t elite.

Have a nice day!

Never said Dak was elite. But he's better than you and a few others give him credit for. I tend to trust my eyes and definitely the words of HOF players, coaches, and gms over a few people who don't really know what they're talking about.

Have a nice day!!

if we bench our starters....then we are not interested in winning. I think if we WANT to win the game...we could. My point is...Dak has 3 double digit winning season in 5 years. Not saying he is Brady or Rogers...but that's pretty good!
Thought it was the team that has 3 double digit winning seasons. I was just talking to @Ranching about this. QB W/L is the dumbest stat in sports.

I said this in response to someone saying Dak is NEVER the answer. He might not be top 5....but he is top 10. And like I told someone else...if you have a top 10 QB...do you keep searching until you have a top 5....or do you build out your team and begin the journey to a Super Bowl?

No doubt he was inaccurate at times. Of course there were some misreads. He seemed rattled on occasion.

But the ENTIRE offense was bad!!! Coaches, OL, RBs, WRs etc...

Dalton Schultz CANNOT block. People might like him because he catches and has yards. But when you have Cooper, Lamb and Gallup..and Zeke in the backfield...someone has to be open. And often it is Dalton Schultz. If he made tough catches....I could understand the love. But he makes routine catches because he is wide open. My point. He is not all that impressive. TEs in this offense need to be able to block to for the run game to work. And he could not block my grandmother (who is deceased by the way)....so I will not miss him.

Untimely holding calls. Lack of separation. Bad play calling. But more than anything....the inability to run the football. And this is not something that just started happening. When the playoffs start...Dak is NOT going to throw for 450 yards 4 straight games. We cannot run the football. And because of this...our ceiling is the divisional round.

All the militant Dak apologists from early in the year need to be fitted with cones of shame:

That's part of the issue........KMoore and the OL coach need to look at the tape and ask why run blocking has not improved ALL YEAR.

It's gotta be what they teach. Technique and scheme related. We've not been this bad at run blocking in a long time regardless of who we had.

Depends...does your top 10 get paid like a top 3?

It must be Stockholm syndrome. It's been how many years how many coaches? Perhaps we draft a Fredricks , Smih and Martin again and waste ot on this fraud. Quite hilarious this navel gazing
Tell you what- how about our QB after 6 years isnt all that good..

If if if...

I'm talking about what actually happened.

He fumbled.
Cards kicked FG.
Dak drove team to score TD and 2pt. conv.
Refs missed forced fumble by Dallas D.
Game Over.

Did I miss anything? Yet somehow Dak's fumble ended the game.
It helped facilitate the loss but more concerning is this is 3 times in the last 4 games that he has had a turnover in the fourth quarter. 4 times in 5 games overall. THAT is a disturbing pattern of NOT protecting the football late in games when such a thing can influence the outcome. He can't be the most overt reason why the team loses. This didn't work for Romo and it won't work for Prescott.

I’m a fan of Dak’s and our wagon is hitched to him… but he wasn’t good yesterday and has been struggling for the last half of this season.

He has to be better for Dallas to go where they want to.

whatever has been the issue for him… he needs to get it fixed, pronto.

Others on offense struggled some as well (and they need to be better too), but it all starts with QB.

The defense is good enough that if the offense can pull it’s weight, they can win it all.

Playing like they did against Arizona flat out won’t get it done.

Zeke is definitely not running like he did after the Charger game. The OL is by all measures having a good year. Zeke just hasn't taken advantage of it. Pollard has when he gets some touches. I know he dropped one yesterday but that guy is running for 6 almost YPC on the season.

stevie wonder, is that you?:muttley:

WRONG OL is trash in a lot of these losses keep saying that they are good no they are not.
better pass block vs run, sure But overall c+ at best. Sunday night TRASH, all of them..drive killers no real pocket not an nfl umbrella type pocket, getting stood up pushed back causing tips, no run lanes, penalties have to be leading league. awful last game for sure..#1 reason we lost OL

taking advantage of what? lmao. theres nothing there.

Dak was never elite. He had time in the pocket and a top tier running game. Once that started to slip, his game dropped even further. I've said it before, but his biggest issue was that early in his career, we had the best line in the game. He was given all the time in the world to throw the ball. It taught him to hold onto the ball and wait for the play to open. Now that same behavior creates holding calls on the Oline and overthrown balls. Especially now that we have no running game to speak of.

Simple but correct assessment in my humble opinion.

And I really do not think that's a knock on Dak, it's just who he is.

Every time I've tried to turn the corner on Dak, I find another reason not to. After the first 7 games I thought I had been wrong or he had made improvements. Since that time, I've come back to where I started with him. He's had enough years in the league to kinda define what he is. He's not some ogre like some think, and he's not a superstar like the other side thinks. He's middlin'.

If the stars align, we could win it all, and I really hope it happens one day. But as a betting man, I wouldn't lay down any cash on it.

He should be knocked for demanding hall of fame QB money. And Jerry Jones too for accepting it

I really don't care about the money. I believe everyone should get the most they can, from mopping floors to playing QB for Dallas.

Jerry paid it, and it's over. Now could it keep us from signing others? Maybe, but a lot of teams work around the cap. But if Dak is offered that kind of money, I don't blame him one bit for taking it.

Great article today from Bob Sturm in the Athletic on the offensive performance Sunday.

The Cowboys essentially have the worst Rush offense in football since week 11 (Kansas City) game.

Dak needs to be better, but if the run game doesn’t improve substantially it’s 1 and done.

come on guys when he wins next week the often hurt calf [only when he loses it's the calf, shoulder, Moore, offensive line, refs, and bad fans, and McCarthy. Did I miss any excuses? oh yeah, the defense didn't score enough.] will be miraculously fixed. lmao.
