Morale of the fans always hits rock bottom after a loss

nevermind the fact theyre 11-5......lose one game and its time to tank, time to pack it up

The locker room imo is fine, if athletes cant handle losing a game then they need to find another sport to play or not play sports at all

Yeah, but 5 of those wins were against bottom 10 teams. So, don't let the record fool you.

One thing you can always count on is an over reaction anytime you come here, especially after a loss

The loss to Arizona changed the perception about as much as the perception changed after the blowout win over Washington. As good as many were feeling after the win over Washington they’re feeling just as bad after the loss to Arizona. I posted after the win over Washington that if we lose to Arizona the way fans feel about the team is going to take a huge swing again. The bottom line is the Cowboys are 5-4 their last 9 games and haven’t beaten a playoff team with a legitimate starting QB. They’ve only had two impressive wins in 9 games against bad teams.

We’ve faced three teams at home that desperately needed a win and they beat us. Our home record is worse than our road record this season. The worst games we played this season were at home. There’s a reason why most fans aren’t feeling good about the Cowboys playoff chances. They peaked early in the season and have faded. They haven’t been the same team and Dak hasn’t been the same QB since the loss to Denver.

It's not just fans. I know....it's cool to call out the miserable sobs that hate their life.

Yahoo gave me an article questioning the moral of the team. NFL writers have noted it.

Which Yahoo writer has been in the locker room with these guys? If the guys who are allowed on the premises have not noticed any morale problem then how am I supposed to believe some dude in L.A. or NY knows more about it? Surely by now you've noticed that these mediots love to create narratives about the Cowboys so they can fake go hard at each other about it for ratings or clicks. And people keep falling for it every time.

What is most demoralizing to me is this year is a small window of opportunity for Dallas. After this year, the CAP is going to seriously hamper the Cowboys ability to field a team as good as this one. When you look at all the free agents, knowing the CAP will restrict how many the Cowboys can re-sign then you know the team next year will not be as talented as the one on the field this year. In the meantime, the Eagles and Giants have multiple first round draft picks to restock their teams.

The Cowboys have been somewhat lucky this year with injuries too. 16 games into the season they are relatively healthy. How often does that happen to any team?

Knowing this may be the last chance for Dallas for a few more years is a big factor in my feelings. The Cards showed the Cowboys are still not ready to take on the top teams who may not have better players, but they are better prepared and better coached. Of course there is always hope. I never expected Dallas to win more than 9 games this year so maybe they can surprise me next year too.

The Cardinals loss stings because we are 1-4 against teams with legit QBs.

Our offense gets behind in a game and immediately gets pass happy and we are just not the same team.

It’s frustrating because we all know we’re about to play some good QBs and our team sucks against them because our offense tends to start slow and go into a shell until it’s too late.

We can also depend on officials to screw us over so that’s another thing we have to overcome on top of our own team playing awful.
Put it like this,if we don't have the lead at the half, we're screwed..our record is terrible when losing at halftime.

Lots of teams are doing that this year. Buffalo has done it quite often.

Tampa barely escaped the Jets. What are there fans saying today? I mean yes they won, but it was the Jets. And a rookie QB.

Stafford has thrown 6 ints in his last three games. Think the fans are nervous?

GB is beating bad teams too….by the skin of there teeth.

Philly just made Henike look like a real QB. How did he look against us?

Zona just got off a three game snide.

We see it through our teams eyes but everyone is up and down.
that what I havent liked about this season, it seems like there are not any real good teams at all.
They are all mediocre teams, that flash at times, slide down at times.
Who wants to watch a SB with 2 mediocre teams playing?? or playoffs with teams that are all mediocre?

Yep.

Dak out in front is a heck of a QB. But take away the run balance and he’s just a bottom tier player. He’ll make the stats look good though.

OF COURSE GO COWBOYS but its not like there isn’t evidence this year for loss of confidence in the team.

The AZ game changed nothing for me. It confirmed for me again that this team can't win against good teams playing B and C level football. It's got to bring its A game to beat a good team. However if they do bring their A game I simply don't see a team out there they can't beat. What I don't know is how to ensure that they bring their A game.. What's the magic bullet to get them to all play like their hair is on fire every snap for 60 minutes? I suppose if the coaches knew we wouldn't see these sleep walking stretches as much as we do..
This is exactly it. Straight up accurate

I've never felt morale so down on a team probably since the 07 loss in NY. There's just a lack of belief that this team is different. Sad part is I believe the locker room may feel that way too. This is the moment in which we hope McCarthy knows how to do his job and inspires these young men.

People buy in every year. All we hear is ...No one can stop these receivers.....This defense is so dominant.... Good luck stopping this talented team

Then reality strikes and the emotions run wild around here with arguments and accusations of being trolls , homers, fanboys and pessimists. Its like clockwork.

Ive been a fan since 1972 and the last 25 years have been a shitshow because people really believe some casual fan here spouting the unrealistic expectations.

Over the last few years ( after so many let downs) Ive come to the frame of mind of

SHOW ME!!! Until this team mans up and shows out against good teams I refuse to get fooled by the overly optimistic expectations.

It goes for all of the players too....Dak.....Im on the fence until he SHOWS me. I dont think hes done that yet, especially against good teams when the chips are down

Cooper, Lamb, etc . SHOW ME for f sakes.

The defense when the game is on the line in a playoff game....SHOW ME

Until that happens I wont get too excited or let down.

Show US dang it.

Thank you for your time and now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

We won 4 of 5. Including 3 in a row on the road which hasn’t been done.

But most of that is just us having a weak schedule.

We lost to every decent team we’ve played since Denver.

Had the Cowboys been playing better teams and QBs the second half of the season those unimpressive wins would’ve been losses. Facing Daniel Jones, Mike Glennon, Jake Fromm, Taylor Heinicke (twice) and Taysom Hill saved us. Justin Herbert is the only good QB we’ve beaten unless you want to count Matt Ryan who’s on the downside of his career. The type of QBs we’re going to face in the playoffs we’ve lost to. We’ve lost to Brady, Mahomes and Kyler Murray. The last two good QBs we faced Derek Carr and Kyler Murray beat us at home. Both teams desperately needed a win and they found a way to beat us. We couldn’t even beat Teddy Bridgewater at home. There’s a good reason why most Cowboys fans aren’t feeling real optimistic right now.

Here we go.
Some caution and concern....means you're not only a miserable sob....but suicidal....figuratively of course.
To read some fans here would think their mental health is directly related to the Cowboys. I call it like I see it.
But if you're going to jump, do a flip.

For me it’s the same old same old for the last 26 years. During that time even in the years where we started out in a promising fashion we would collapse in December and January. And here we are collapsing in December and January again. Fool me once shame on me, fool me 26 times…

The Tom Landry Cowboys would often start out slow in a season and then make the dash for the cash, as Dave Manders called it, at the end of the year. The Jerry Jones Cowboys do a belly flop come the end of the season and then start their off-season vacations.
